PPC Search Engine Marketing Millionaires - What is Keyword Flipping in Google Adwords?

Hi everyone,

For PPC Affiliates who are advertising the affiliate products with PPC search engines particularly in Google Adwords, the post today is very interesting and will help you to increase your CTR dramatically. Today, I am going to share you an interesting article related to "Keyword Flipping" concept. It is all about how to increase your CTR with the highly targeted and converted keywords. From my perspective, it is a great basic tip you have to know and learn. You will discover what the keyword flipping is and how it works in this post.

Here is the article written from Earnersblog.com:

"What is Keyword Flipping?

Keyword Flipping is perfect for Affiliate Marketers & also people running Multiple PPC campaigns at once. It allows you to set up Campaigns quicker, analyse your results quicker then make the necessary optmisation tweaks to increase your CTR once you know what’s already working. This technique saves you time, lots of time.

Overview

As the Affiliate Marketing space becomes more & more saturated it’s important to test as many different offers (with multiple variables) as we can. Naturally it can be a time consuming process setting up very very targeted PPC campaigns without first knowing which keywords are going to perform best for us in the long run. Keyword Flipping basically allows you to test lots of targeted keywords at once then pick the initial performers out & create a more targeted adgroup. Thus further increasing the CTR & reducing the cost we pay per click.

Theory

It’s important to understand the Adwords Bidding Formula to really see why having a higher CTR & keeping things targeted is important:

Ad Score = CTR x Max Bid

Therefore if my overall CTR is 10% & I’m bidding 1 Dollar then my Ad Score is 10. However, if someone else has a CTR of 20% & they’re bidding $0.75 then their Ad Score is 15 therefore outranking my ad (even though they’re bidding less).

This is why people generally bid higher to start, get a decent CTR & tweak adcopy then reduce the bid whilst monitoring position & CTR to get more value per click.

Our aim is to get the highest possible CTR on the ads that are working for us. This allows us to attain this best possible return on our advertising spend. We could make very targeted adgroups & ads for each individual keyword but this takes up time & less time means we can test less offers.

How it Works

When you're setting up a brand new campaign for a specific offer try to theme your keywords & put them in groups. Let say for example that we're talking about Web Hosting. You might choose the following keywords:

- Cheap Web Hosting

- Affordable Web Hosting

- Discount Web Hosting

- Low Cost Web Hosting

- Web Hosting Coupons

- Cheapest Web Hosting

- Lowest Priced Web Hosting

- Cheap Web Hosts

In this group these keywords are themed by price. They all relate to one another fairly well so I can get away with either using Google's Dynamic Keyword Insertion or Just creating some generic Low Cost Adcopy for them, then I'll bid to position 4 or Above.

keyword flipping to beat google adwords - keyword research technique - keyword optimization tip

I'll normally let the ads then run for around 24-48 hours. Once that period has elapsed I'll go back to the group & check the stats. You will soon be able to see which ads are getting a good number of impressions & clicks. It's also important to track the conversions on a keyword level, otherwise you won’t know which keywords are converting.

Flipping the keyword now involves grabbing the best performers & creating their own highly targeted adgroup (those that are converting & getting a decent amount of impressions). Say for example that Cheap Web Hosting had the highest CTR of about 8% & converted at 4%. We can then create a new adgroup called "Cheap Web Hosting" that contains that keyword only. We now create a much more targeted ad, such as:

keyword flipping to beat google adwords - keyword research technique - keyword optimization tip

You can see how we use the keyword in the Adcopy 3 times now. As people search for the keyword it highlights the text, thus highlighting their attention to the ad:

Doing this can sometimes double or triple your CTR which means you can hold a much higher position at a fraction of the price. This means that if we still convert at 4% on the keyword we can pull in the same amount of traffic at half the price thus doubling our ROI.

Conclusion

Keyword Flipping is a quick & easy way to find out & isolate your highest performing & highest traffic keywords then refine them further without wasting time optimising keywords that won't perform."

Final thoughts, I strongly believe that keyword flipping technique will definitely help you to increase your CTR dramatically. However, I would also recommend you to focus on your return on investment (ROI) and conversion rate by optimizing your landing page for highly targeted and converted keywords. You should create very specific landing pages for those highly targeted and converted keywords for maximizing your profits online. With the keyword flipping and proper landing page optimization, you are in the great position to beat google adwords and maximize your adwords profits.

Great Keyword Search Tips On Which Keywords You Should Focus To Optimize For Your Website!

Now, I am going to give you a great article about how to optimize your website through keywords. Which keywords should you have to optimize for your website? You'll discover the answer and step-by-step in this article written by Sumantra Roy.

"In this article, we focus on the correct way of finding out the keywords for which you should optimize your site for the search engines. This article will give you the formula for the Keyword Effectiveness Index (KEI) - a mathematical formula which I have developed to help you determine which keywords you should be optimizing your site for.

Step 1: Open your text editor or word processor and write down all the words and phrases that you might have searched for if you were looking for a company which offers products and services similar to yours.

For example, suppose your company organizes packaged tours to Australia. Here's a list of phrases that I might have searched for if I were planning to make a trip to Australia:
- tourism in Australia
- travel to Australia
- travelling in Australia
- travel agencies in Australia
- travelling agencies in Australia
- Australian travel agencies

Of course, the keywords that came to your mind may have been different. But that's not important - the important thing is to get an initial list of keywords.
You may be wondering why I have not used single word keywords. Here's why:

Firstly, single word keywords tend to be hyper-competitive. A search for "tourism" or "travelling" in any search engine will probably generate hundreds of thousands of pages. While it is possible that you may get your page in the top 10 for such a single word keyword, it is quite unlikely.

Secondly, because of the sheer number of pages that single word searches can throw up, most search engine users have realized that they can get more relevant pages if they search for phrases rather than individual words. Statistical research has shown that most people are now searching for 2 or 3 word phrases rather than for single words.

Thirdly, single word keywords won't get you targeted traffic. When people search for "tourism", they are not necessarily looking for tourist destinations in Australia - they may be interested in any other country of the world. Even if you got your site into the top 10 for tourism, you gain nothing from such visitors. However, when someone searches for "tourism in Australia", he/she is your potential customer, and hence, it makes sense for you to try and get a top ranking for your site for that keyword.

Hence, whenever you are trying to generate keywords, try to be location specific. Try to think of keywords which apply to the geographic area that your product or service is designed to serve.

Step 2: Open any spreadsheet program that is installed in your hard drive. I assume you are using Microsoft Excel. If you are using some other spreadsheet program, just change the spreadsheet related procedures outlined here to fit your program.

Create 4 columns - one for the keyword, one for the popularity of the keyword, one for the number of sites that appear in AltaVista for that keyword and the last for something I call the Keyword Effectiveness Index (don't worry - I'll explain what KEI means later on). In order to ensure that you can follow what I am saying, I recommend that you add the following column headers to the first four columns of the first row of your spreadsheet:
- Keyword
- Popularity
- No. of Competitors
- KEI

In case you don't want to take the trouble of creating your own spreadsheet, download the keywords.zip file. The file contains a sample spreadsheet in Excel 97 format.

Step 3: A great way to obtain a list of keywords related to the ones you have developed in the first step is to use WordTracker's keyword generation service. Click on the "Trial" option at the top of the site. In the page that appears, type in your name and email address and click on the "Start the trial >>" button. In the next page, click on "Click here to start the trial". In the next page, type in the first keyword that you developed in Step 1, i.e. "tourism in Australia", in the text box. Click on the "Proceed >>" button.

Step 4: In the next page, WordTracker will display a list of keywords related to the keyword that you had typed in. (Just scroll down the left pane to see the keywords). Now, click on the first keyword in the left pane which is applicable for your site. In the right pane, WordTracker will show a list of keywords which contain the keyword you had clicked on in the left pane.

Then in the table that you have created in your spreadsheet, copy each of the keywords in the right pane and paste them in the first column of the table. Also, copy the number of times those keywords have been used (i.e. the figure present in the Count column in WordTracker) and paste them in the second column. In order to ensure that you can follow me, make sure that you type the first keyword in the second row of your spreadsheet. Of course, you should only bother adding a keyword to your spreadsheet if it is applicable for your site.

Once you have added all the keywords in the right pane which are applicable for your site, click on the next keyword in the left pane which is applicable for your site. Once again, WordTracker will display a list of keywords in the right pane which contain the keyword you had clicked on in the left pane. Again, copy the keywords in the right pane which are applicable for your site and paste them in the first column of your spreadsheet. Also, copy the figures present in the Count column and paste them in the second column beside the corresponding keywords.

Repeat this process for each of the keywords in the left pane.

Step 5: Once you have finished with all the keywords in the left pane, press your browser's Back button a number of times until WordTracker again displays the text box which asks you to type in a keyword. Type in the second keyword in your original list (i.e. "travel to Australia"), click on the "Proceed >>" button and repeat Step 4.

Do this for each of the keywords that you developed in Step 1.

Step 6: Go to AltaVista. Search for the first keyword that is present in your spreadsheet using exact match search (i.e. you should wrap the keyword in quotes, i.e. you should type a quotation mark before typing the keyword and a quotation mark after typing it). AltaVista will return the number of sites which are relevant to that keyword. Add this number to the third column of the spreadsheet in the same row in which the keyword is present. Repeat this process for each of the keywords present in your spreadsheet.

Once you have done that, your first column will contain the keywords, your second column will show the popularity of the keywords and your third column will contain the number of sites you are competing against to get a high ranking for those keywords.

Now it's time to calculate the KEI!

Step 7: The Keyword Effectiveness Index is the square of the popularity of a keyword multiplied by 1000 and divided by the number of sites which appear in AltaVista for that keyword. It is designed to measure which keywords are worth optimizing your site for. Higher the KEI, better the keyword. How the formula for the KEI is arrived at is beyond the scope of this article. If you want to know, send a blank email to kei@sendfree.com.

If you had used the spreadsheet file that I created for you (see Step 2), you won't need to enter the formula for calculating the KEI yourself. The KEI would be automatically calculated for you the moment you enter the values in columns 2 and 3. You can go straight to Step 8.

In case you didn't download the file, here's how you can calculate the KEI.
I am assuming that you have created the spreadsheet columns in the way I recommended in Step 3 and that you are using Microsoft Excel. If you using some other spreadsheet program, you will need to adjust the formula to the requirements of your spreadsheet program. Click on cell D2. Type in the following exactly as it is shown:
=IF(C2<>0,B2^2/C2*1000,B2^2*1000)

Then click on the Copy button to copy the formula, select all the cells in column 4 which have keywords associated with them and press the Paste button to paste the formula. The KEI for each keyword will be displayed.

Step 8: Use your spreadsheet program's Sort feature to sort the rows in descending order of the KEI. In Excel 97, you would click on the Data menu, click on the Sort menu item, choose KEI from the drop-down combo box named "Sort by", click on the "Descending" option next to it, and then click on OK.

And guess what - that's it! You now know the keywords which you should optimize your site for. You can now start optimizing your site one by one for each keyword, starting with the keyword with the highest KEI. Exactly how many of the keywords you choose to optimize your site for largely depends on the amount of time that you can spare from your normal business activities. But whatever the number of keywords that you target, it obviously makes sense to go for the most effective keywords first.
Tying up the loose ends:

The number of related keywords that WordTracker displays in the trial version is limited. In order to get all the keywords which are related to the keywords you had developed in Step 1, you would need to subscribe to WordTracker's paid service. We highly recommend that you do subscribe to WordTracker's paid service as otherwise, you will miss out on a lot of keywords that can prove to be extremely valuable to you.

10 Winning Tips For Keywords In Top Search Engine Rankings!

Now, I am going to give you 10 winning tips for keywords in top search engine rankings. The article today is written by Matt Foster. He addresses the top factors affecting positive search engine rankings. I have already read this article and would like to share you.

READ THIS: If you are truly serious about how to get top ranking in search engine with your keywords.

"1. Keyword Use in Title Tag
I have said for many years that if I had a gun to my head, and could do only one thing to a web page to optimize it, my choice would be the title tag. Put your keyphrases in your title tag, and remember to optimize each page individually (i.e. don't overstuff your title tag, and have different title tags for each page that reflect the content of that particular page - otherwise, you may suffer from a duplicative content exclusion and find yourself in the supplemental results).

2. Keyword Use in Body Text
Duh. If your keyword or keyphrase isn't mentioned at least once in the body text of the web page, then it does not seem your page is very relevant to that keyphrase, now does it? But don't get all caught up in the keyphrase density myth - there is no magic number of times it should appear. Make sense to readers, and it will make sense to the search engines.

3. Relationship of Body Text Content to Keywords (Topic Analysis)
Google is smarter than you give them credit for, and just stuffing a keyphrase into a completely unrelated page won't do you much, if any good. Your page should be on a topic which is semantically related to the keyphrase which you are targeting in your title tag.

4. Keyword Use in H1 Tag
Oh, for years the naysayers have been telling me that H1 tag keyphrase use meant nothing and that I was an idiot for thinking otherwise. Well the verdict is in and this is the fourth most important factor according to the SEOMoz article. At this point, therefore, we have learned to put your keyphrase in your title tag, include it in your body text, which body text is topically or semantically related to the keyphrase, and head up the body text with an H1 containing the keyphrase.

5. Keyword Use in Domain Name
This is one that I disagree with. I have seen absolutely no evidence of this at all. Do a simple search on the internet for most any search term, and chances are the top results do not have the search query in the domain name. I believe this may have minor importance, but don't go and change your domain because of it. Seriously, you have much more to lose (such as age of domain, inbound linkage, site reputation, etc.) I regularly see clients at the top of Google with domain names containing nothing near the relevant search terms.

6. Keyword Use in Page URL
This is what I have called "descriptive file naming" for a number of years. I believe it is of some importance, again, however, is more of a factor when setting up a new domain than would be for an existing domain with high pagerank and inbound linkage. Changing your internal url's for the sole purpose of meeting this criterion again is very risky, for the same reasons mentioned above.

7. Keyword Use in H2, H3, H... Tags
Well if it works for H1, why not for H2 et al.?

8. Keyword Use in ALT Attributes and Image Titles
SEOMoz incorrectly calls them an ALT tag, but it is not a tag, the ALT is an attribute of the IMG tag. Semantics aside, I believe this to be highly important, I would have ranked this above the URL and domain name items. Experience has shown me that image optimization (image file name, alt attribute, and title) is a wonderful way to make a page more relevant to a desired search query.

9. Keyword Use in Bold/Strong Tags
I always use this method, as well as keyword use within the EM (italics) tag. I believe this to be a moderately important factor as it helps emphasize to Google what your page is about, and what you consider important. Definitely on my short list of things to do for "on page" search engine optimization.

10. Keyword Use in Meta Description Tag
Again, one of my "big 4" for on page optimization. The "big 4" being: title tag, meta description, h1, and image ALT attributes. (I don't include body text in my big 4 as I believe that is self evident). Definitely important, and again, each page should have custom title and meta description tags.

Discover Why You Must Use Keyword Research Tools Here!

Now, I am going to give you a great article written by Jill from HighRankings sites. You'll discover what keyword research tools are good for and why you must use keyword research tools.

"In basic terms, the competitiveness of any given keyword or phrase is based on how many pages online there are in the search engines' database which are optimized for the keywords in question.

Many people do a search at Google using their keyword phrase and erroneously judge their competitiveness based on the number of results that are returned. For example, if your phrase is "search engine spam" you might type that into Google (without quotation marks) and see that there are about 40,400,000 results for that phrase.

That's not much help in determining how competitive that phrase is, as it's simply telling you that there are over 40 million pages that Google knows about using the words "search," "engine," and "spam" somewhere on the page, in the indexable code, or in links pointing to that page.

Now, you could get a bit closer to determining the competitiveness of a phrase by putting it in quotes when you search for it in Google. Doing that with our phrase "search engine spam" returns about 150,000 results. See how that's a huge difference from 40 million? The search with quotes ends up showing you how many pages Google knows about that have that exact phrase somewhere in their indexable code or in links pointing to the page.

Still, just because a page is using a given phrase doesn't mean it's actually optimized for that phrase. Many of those 150,000 pages may not be optimized at all, and might be easily beatable in the results with just a bit of work.

To narrow down the field a bit more and have Google show you only pages that have been optimized (at least in some rudimentary fashion) you can type your phrase into Google using the "intitle" command. For our phrase, put this into the Google search box: intitle:"search engine spam" — this command returns all the pages that have used the phrase "search engine spam" in their Title tag. As most of you know, keywords placed in Title tags are given a ton of weight by all search engines. If a page is using a phrase in its Title tag, it’s safe to assume that it's been optimized, at least a little bit.

Google returns about 1,040 results for pages with that phrase in the Title tag. Big, huge difference from that original 40 million! At this point, it's clear to see that those 1,000+ pages are indeed your competition. Further study of them will be in order to determine just how optimized they actually are. Many of them are probably using the phrase *only* in the Title tag and might be easily beat in the rankings with just a little work on your part.

Now, compare the intitle results for "Britney Spears" and you'll find about 985,000 that have her name in their Title tag. So you'd have to have a page that was better and more relevant than the nearly million others that are about Britney Spears. Trying to be better and more relevant than 1,000 other pages is daunting enough, but 1 million? Just not worth the time and effort, in my opinion.

So now that I've illustrated why using keyword research tools to find the most-searched phrases is a useless exercise, let's get back to the original question.

What exactly are keyword research tools good for?

They are great for finding the keyword phrases that people are actually searching for when they would be looking for your products or services at the search engines.

So in your page about dogs, no, you don’t want to use the keywords "canine," "dog," "k-9," "puppies," etc. Absolutely not! Optimizing for one-word, general keywords such as those is just as bad as optimizing for "Britney Spears." Our handy-dandy intitle search for "dogs" shows us about 5,650,000 results, and about 1,200,000 for "canine." Those are not optimizable keywords.

In SEO — and more specifically when researching keywords — the idea is to find the phrases people use in which decent search engine rankings are also attainable. Sure, you can guess at phrases like we used to have to do in the old days, but why guess when you don’t have to?

What you need to do is go to the Research Keywords section of Wordtracker or KeywordDiscovery and start typing in your brainstormed phrases. The tools will let you know which are used by real people at real engines and which are not. They will also provide you with other ideas for phrases you may not have thought of. You can even put in a single word such as "dog" and get back every phrase that has "dog" contained within it. From there, you'd want to narrow it down to the phrases that most relate to what your site offers and which are also attainable in the rankings.

Be sure to research phrases for each page of your site. Certainly your site is not just about dogs in general, but about specific dog things. Maybe you offer all kinds of dog chew-toys. If so, you'll want to research all the phrases that have to do with this, including things like "squeaky rubber bone," etc.

Using our previous example, some quick research at KeywordDiscovery shows that the phrase "search engine spam" gets searched upon less than once per day, so it's not an ideal phrase to optimize for, in my opinion. Still, it does show up on their radar, and I imagine it might bring some traffic now and then if I had a page optimized for it. I see my buddy Alan Perkin’s "Classification of Search Engine Spam" paper is in the top 10 for that keyphrase. I'll have to ask him if he gets much traffic on the phrase. And who knows, maybe this article will eventually show up in the results for it too once I upload it to the archives."

Conclusion, I personally believe that keyword analysis research tools are very helpful for you to find more and expand massive of keywords. You'll save a lot of your time for doing effective keyword analysis research.

[Effective Keyword Analysis Research Tips] Discover Top 10 Mistakes In Keyword Analysis Research!

Now, I am going to give you the effective top 10 mistakes in keyword analysis research tips. I found a great article in Marcin's blog. You'll discover top 10 mistakes in keyword analysis. Personally, I believe that if you can avoid those top 10 mistakes, you are doing your effective keyword analysis research.

READ THIS: If you are looking for how to do your own effective keyword analysis research.

"1. Not doing keyword research at all
That one is self-explanatory. If you give up on keyword research, you miss one of the cheapest and most efficient market research methods ever created. You will never come up with all the ways that people may be search for content in your niches, you will not discover all the simple ways you may get more visitors and finally, you will simply not think of many content ideas that are inspired by what you find in the keyword research data.

The conclusion is - you can brainstorm keywords on your own, but you should do the comprehensive research for your niche at least once and store the keywords for future reference. Much better would be to use some keyword tools on every-day basis - this is highly recommended if you're serious about your online projects.

2. Taking keyword counts at the face value
It always astonishes me when people get some numbers from any keyword research tool and then expect the exact number of visits to their website for that phrase, if they make it to the top of SERPs of course.

The truths is, all the keyword tools have access to a very microscopic sample of all the queries that people enter into the search engines every day. No keyword tool has access to data from Google, Yahoo or even MSN. It means they are relying on some second or third-tier data sources and any estimates of the keyword popularity are just that - estimates.

The more you dig into any niche, the greater the potential discrepancy between estimated and actual search counts may be.

The best I can suggest is to look for relations between any counts provided by these tools. If for example Wordtracker says that ipod is searched for 28,000 times a day and zune is searched for 8000 times a day, there is a good chance that ipod is a much more popular keyword to target (however, as I will show you in a separate articles, different tools may suggest very varying proportions between different phrases).

3. Relying on a single tool
It's always a great idea to test your keywords using several keyword services.

First of all, you will simply get more phrases if you combine results of for example Wordtracker [aff.] and Nichebot [aff.] and the Google keyword selector tool.

You will also be able to eliminate any odd results, which may be a result of your competitors spamming one tool or the other.

4. Relying on over-inflated data
This applies particularly to any keyword research done with the Overture keyword search tool and any other online or desktop tools that rely on these data (such as the very handy SEO Book Keyword Suggestion Tool or the freeware Good Keywords software).

The Overture tool is extremely abused by marketers doing their research and so it shows strong bias in certain niches and unnaturally high search counts (which change a lot - in one month it can be hundreds of thousands for one keyword and just mere hundreds for the same keyword next month).

You should always cross-reference Overture results with another source.

5. Focusing on just one keyword / phrase
The days when you could write SEO-optimized content by focusing on a single keyword / phrase and just taking care of its proper density are definitely over. We are now in the latent semantic indexing era.

This basically means that whenever you're doing keyword research, you must think about a set of related phrases and words that will allow you to theme your page and "convince" the search engine that it's on a given subject.

There are many great ways to discover words that belong to the same semantic category. You can for example try the free WordNet tool. This is a browsable database of keywords where humans define their meanings and relations between them.

6. Relying on KEI
If you don't know what KEI (Keyword Effectiveness Index) is, you may find this detailed explanation helpful.

Basically, it's a ratio of how many times a given keyword is searched for to the number of competing websites that rank for this keyword. Many people rely on this ratio to judge how competitive a niche is and what their chances are to achieve top rankings in SERPs.

But guess what, KEI can be extremely misleading.

First of all, you're really competing only against the top 10 (or 20) listings in SERPs. It doesn't matter if there are 100,000 or 100,000,000 other results (and that would change KEI drastically). The only thing that matters is how strong SEO-wise the top 10 results are.

On the other hand, if you take into account how wrong the keyword tools may be in estimating the counts (especially in case of of the long-tail keywords), you get another reason not to rely on KEI (because doubling the count may not mean much, but it may alter KEI drastically).

There are many free tools which are much more useful in estimating your real competition for any given phrase.

If you're using Firefox, you may check these great extensions - SEO for Firefox or SeoQuake. They will show you a number of useful data directly in the Google search results (such as PR of each page in results, number of backlinks, age of domain etc.). With these data, you can get a good feeling of how difficult it will be to rank for your term.

You can also use a very cool freeware application called Keyword Explorer which will immediately show a number of search results for a normal query and with modifiers, such as "intitle" or "inurl". Usually, even if there is a large number of results for a regular query, but a much lower number for queries with modifiers, it means that there may be not too many pages optimized for your phrase and you have a good shot at ranking well.

7. Not using tools to organize and manage your keyword lists
If you're serious about your keyword research, you'll quickly end up with lists containing thousands of keywords for almost any niche. You can try and use Excel to manage them, but that's, well, not the optimum way. It's a bit a like reinventing the wheel.

There are specialized tools, which will make managing your lists a breeze. You will be able to do all basic operations, such as sorting and filtering, as well as more advanced, such as automatically discover subniches, find keywords for your LSI optimization (see point 5 above), or conduct multi-level, multi-criteria filtering.

One tool that I truly recommend and use almost daily is the Keyword Results Analyzer [aff.]. I am going to have a review of this tool soon, but in the meantime, I strongly recommend that you go to the link provided and sign-up for the free 8-day video tutorial. Not only will it show you how to use the tool, but you will also get a ton of useful tips on keyword research in general.

I have no doubt that my keyword research has become much more efficient since I started using this too to manage my lists.

8. Researching at the wrong time
This applies in particular to people using the Wordtracker tool, which stores keyword statistics for the last 90 days.

It means that it would be a rather bad idea to research Christmas gifts in July using Wordtracker, as its data from the last 90 days would contain very little Christmas-related terms.

It's less important if you're using tools like Nichebot and its Keyword Discovery database, which generally covers a much longer time-span.

9. Going after the most expensive and competitive terms
Unless you're very experienced in SEO, have good contacts in the industry and deep pockets, there is little sense in going for the most competitive and expensive phrases. Your business model is in the long tail - less competition and less income per click may still translate into greater revenue than the most profitable keywords with mad competition.

However, it's a very sound strategy to use the long-tail terms to drive traffic to your site and then to channel that traffic to other pages in your website, optimized for example for high-paying AdSense ads.

10. Letting your keywords lists gather dust
This is something I am very guilty of - I have an infinite number of keyword lists and niches that I researched just because discovering niches can be so much fun, particularly with tools like this one to automatically discover new and profitable markets. But guess what - I've never used these keywords and probably never will. And they will never make me any money."

Finally, I am sure that doing very well & effective in your keyword research is the significant way to your success. Also, I believe that keyword research tool will help you to get the idea of keywords and generate a massive of keywords in a minute.

[keyword analysis research] The Truth About Keyword Density, Search Engine Optimized (SEO) Copywriting Success!

Today I am going to share you a great article about the keyword density for search engine optimized (SEO) copywriting success. The article is written by Karon Thackston and the title is "Stop the Slaughter of Innocent Copy!".

READ THIS: If you are truly serious about keyword analysis research, keyword density and search engine optimized (SEO) copywriting success.

"It's one of the worst things to ever happen in the search engine copywriting field: the discovery of keyword density. I won't venture off into a discussion about whether keyword density is still a valid measure of search engine optimized (SEO) copywriting success. I will say, however, that the mere introduction of this concept led to the mutilation and destruction of innocent copy all across the globe. Without any regard to flow or customer experience, website owners around the world began shoving keyphrases into their copy like wild men. The results have been disastrous! Otherwise wonderful content has been utterly destroyed. This slaughter of innocent copy must stop!

All joking aside, the realization several years ago that keyword density was a factor in search engine rankings instantly transformed the landscape of copywriting for the engines. That lone concept lit a fire under people who absolutely butchered their copy for the sake of the engines. A pity really because it doesn't have to be that way.

Keep It Sounding Natural

One primary goal is to write copy so that the keyphrases are virtually undetectable when read by someone with no knowledge of SEO. One vital step in making this happen is to carefully research and select your keyphrases.

If you're writing a page about wedding gowns, it would be complicated to include keyphrases such as "wedding reception music" or "wedding caterers." The amount of traffíc these terms might bring would be offset by the awkward fit with the focus of your page. Instead, opt for phrases that lend themselves directly to the topic of wedding gowns.

One common mistake many site owners and newbie copywriters make is to replace every single instance of a generic key term with one of their chosen keyphrases. Doing this in moderation is certainly acceptable, but frequently copywriters get carried away with tragic results.

For example, you would not want to have the following copy on your site:

Spanish Villas For Rent If you are looking for Spanish villas vacations, search our site for the best deals in Spanish villas. No other Spanish villas site has the selection of premium Spanish villas with the most sought after locations that we have. View some of our Spanish villas pictures or take virtual tours of our Spanish villas today.

Whew! I get tired just reading that! Not only is it extremely annoying to read, but also many of the phrases are used incorrectly, making it look as though there are typos on the page. Not a pretty sight!

To keep your copy sounding as natural as possible, you need to think outside the keyword box. Most often, people believe that writing in a similar manner as the example above is the only way to use keywords in copy. Not true! In fact, far from it.

Let me share three of my favorite tips with you for creative writing with keyphrases.

Don't Use Keyphrases To Describe Your Products/Services

That's right, I said DON'T use keyphrases to describe your own products or services. Instead, use them to describe what your product or service is not, or what it is similar to or what it is better than.

An example of this is any keyphrase that begins with the word "cheap." "Cheap insurance," "cheap sunglasses," "cheap software" - the líst is endless. It's simply not a good idea to call your own product cheap. Yes, I understand that people are looking for cheap things, but that is because they don't want to pay a lot. When THEY call your product cheap, it is in relation to price. When YOU call your own product or service cheap, it degrades the product or service's perceived value.

Instead, let others know that your product is NOT cheap. For example:

Unlike cheap travel insurance offered by other underwriters, our policies have provided long-standing, publicly held companies with a history of exceptional customer service. You get affordable coverage and peace of mind.

The phrase is highly relevant to the page, you get to attract lots of visitors, and the copy is set to convince them that "cheap insurance" isn't what they really wanted after all.

How about this one? I got an email from a student asking me how to use the phrase "doggie litter box" in his copy even though that was not what he was selling. His product was a replacement for the doggie litter box, so I suggested he use the phrase in exactly that way. Here's what I would have done:

Here's a great solution for that messy doggie litter box. Attractive, compact and easy to use even in the smallest apartments, [Name of Product] is destined to replace the doggie litter box forever!

See? You aren't calling your product a litter box; rather you are positioning yourself against it to show how you are better.

Add A Word

Another frequent stumbling block for SEO copywriters is the use of phrases that seem to end abruptly. In these cases, simply add a word to the end. Here are two examples.

The phrase "web design for small business" seems out of place because, most often, we would use the plural term (small businesses) when we were writing. To correct the problem, just add a plural word to the end of the phrase. Perhaps you might talk about web design for small business startups or web design for small business owners. You get the idea.

Break It Up

When the phrases get too long, it is often best to break them up. Search engines don't pay attention to standard punctuation marks or line breaks. They read right through periods, commas, semi-colons and the like without hesitation. That means you have a lot more flexibility than you might think.

One keyphrase I had to work with was "Texas Hill Country real estate." That would get pretty cumbersome if it were left as it is seen there. But by breaking it up with some punctuation, it sounds perfectly natural. Here's how it can be done.

There is no more beautiful place than the Texas Hill Country. Real estate listings in this area are filled with stunning homes that.

Do you see what happened? I broke the phrase up using a period. In the eyes of the search engines the phrase is still intact. They don't even notice the period. That period, however, causes the reader to take a mental pause and helps alleviate any repetitive feel to the copy.

If you take the time to look at SEO copywriting as an art rather than an assembly line task, your content will sound more natural, will convert better and will help prevent further additions to the already overcrowded collection of tortured copy everywhere!

[Search Marketing Plan Keyword Marketing] READ THIS: If You Are Truly Serious About Keyword Research And Search Engine Optimization!

Now I am going to give you #2 top mistake for your search engine optimization. Personally, I strongly believe that keyword research is the foundation of driving targeted traffics to your website. People are wasting their time and don't know how exactly to do their keyword research. Also, I believe that search engine optimization is one of great ways to drive more traffics to your website. Remember, the more traffics you have, the more make money business oppotunities you get!

You'll discover top 10 mistakes for search engine optimization & how to do the most effective keyword research for your website below:

"1. Non-Relevant Linkage.

External links to your site play a large part in most of the major search engine algorithms and can be considered an endorsement of your site. But if you are being linked to from sites that have no relevance to your content, then that is now considered a negative endorsement and will not raise your ranking in the search engines. Ensure all links to your pages are from relevant sites. Be wary of link builders who acquire links from gambling, pharmaceutical or adult themed sites, especially if your site is not of the same theme. Link building is as much a science as it is an art, one we take very seriously.

2. Untargeted Keywords.

The people who use search engines are 'normal' people who are not likely to use words used in advertising brochures. Get to know how your customers ask for your services/products and use these in your content. Often times, actual keyword research will surprise you.

3. Excessive Graphics and Flash Content.

This looks good on a web page, but to search engine crawlers it means little. Search engines are looking for content, keywords, and relevancy to the search terms. By all means have some graphics, but don't forget the meat. This doesn't mean Flash designed websites are bad necessarily. In fact, some big businesses do use it. For most webmasters though, Flash sites are best avoided. Unless your Flash designer does high-end websites and knows how to integrate the content and keywords within the Flash, hybrid sites combining Flash headers with HTML content will be a good option.

4. Believing all search engines are the same.

What pleases Yahoo might not necessarily please MSN or Google. Optimize your content, keywords, inbound links, and internal linking structure so that there is something for at least one of the three top search engines.

5. Multiple Search Engine Submissions.

In the very early days of search engines, this technique may have had some success, but now it can lead to slower indexing and rankings. A site with inbound links from other sites will get indexed naturally and search engine submission is not necessary. In fact, multiple submissions may be construed as an attempt to spam the search engines. The top 5 engines account for more than 90% of all activity so it is wise not to ruin your chances of ranking naturally in the search results. (comScore Media Metrix qSearch data, August 2005)

6. Incorrect Use of Title Tags.

Most people consider the title to be for their company name or product. Not so. You must include your most important search phrases within your title tag and if you do want your company name there, keep it for the end. Keep the title tag to less than 65 characters long to avoid the appearance of title tag keyword-stuffing.

7. Use of 'Black Hat' techniques.

Techniques such as doorway pages, hidden text, and overstuffing keywords may have had success in the past but now they will earn you penalties and could even get you banned. Avoid them altogether if you are seeking long term success. Some black hat techniques can work on a short term basis, but in the long run prove very costly.

8. Expecting Immediate Results.

SEO is an ongoing process and should be treated as such by your SEO company. Good optimization will involve building good links with quality sites and this takes time.

9. Use of Unethical SEO Consultants.

Beware the consultant that guarantees rankings with no past clients to back it up with or claims of special relationships with search engines. Many such "consultants" or "experts" will probably take your money and run. Choose a reputable SEO consultant, one who will keep in regular contact with progress reports and updates.

10. Decide to do optimization in-house.

Probably possible in the past, but now with ever increasing sophistication of search engine algorithms, this is an area best left to an expert. Furthermore, the good SEO experts usually have other income streams from their online marketing activities and a regular paycheck to work full-time simply doesn't justify their time invested. We've yet to meet a good SEO who doesn't have virtual real estate bringing in a nice chunk of cash.

[keyword analysis research tools] Discover ALTERNATIVE Keyword Research Tool For Your Great Website & Spy On Your Competitors TODAY!

Today, I am going to share you an ALTERNATIVE keyword analysis research tool for your website & spy on your competitors. Yesterday, I just got an email from Perry Marshall who is the highly successful internet marketer. He addressed the interesting keyword research tool for building your great website and spying on your competitor.

Personally, I believe that the following keyword suggestion tools are great ALTERNATIVE keyword research tool besides with Keyword Elite, WordTracker and Keyword Discovery. If you are looking for how to discover your niche keywords, you must READ THIS:

"http://visualthesaurus.com - Generates visual trees of related keywords, sort of like a mind map. You type in a term and rich word trees spring up. Then you can click on the next word and the next word and the tree continues to morph. I just sent the latest Renaissance Club newsletter to the printer and I think I used it six or seven times to find just the perfect word. There's a free demo and a yearly membership is a paltry $20. Give it a whirl.

Spy Intelligence: Sometimes it's quite useful to have an idea of what your competitors are doing on Pay Per Click, what keywords they're bidding on, what they're spending, stuff like that. Disclaimer: Neither of these tools provides a completely accurate picture but they're both very useful:

http://spyfoo.com/ - Gives you a list of major keywords your competition is bidding on, an estimate of their daily budget, data about their organic listings, average bid position, and how many competitors they have. Rather insightful.

http://www.googspy.com/ - A related technology, but presented in a different way. The keyword list it generates is incomplete but quite helpful.

http://www.lexfn.com/ - Type in a word and it gives you related terms and concepts.

http://buzz.yahoo.com/ - Following pop culture to see what's hot this week? This is a great place to do it, 'cuz the clicks always tell a story. I don't know that this is terribly useful for keyword research per se (unless you have a very deliberate strategy that plays on celebs & stuff like that) but it certainly gives you topic ideas that you can tie into newsletters, rants, etc. The equivalent tool on Google is called Zeitgeist:

http://www.google.com/press/zeitgeist.html

Google's Keyword Suggest -
http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en - as you type a search term, Google suggests related words."

Finally, I believe that the above keyword analysis research tool can definitely help you to DISCOVER niche keywords with high relevancy & low competitors for your niche markets. Also, some of those keyword research tools are very useful to spy on your competitors. I would love recommend another GREAT keyword suggestion tool for spying keywords on your competitors. [keyword analysis research] The Truth About Keyword Analysis Research And Your AdSense Program

Yesterday, I got an interesting article about AdSense program and the importance of researching keywords. Personally, a great keyword analysis research can lead you to the highly successful in your AdSense program. You can make BIG quick money online from home with AdSense and great niche keywords. If you are making money with AdSense now and looking for an ALTERNATIVE way to discover niche keywords, you must READ THIS:

"Just about every web site owner understands how important keywords are to success, and Google AdSense is certainly no exception. It is important to carefully choose the right keywords for inclusion on your web page. These keywords will help to influence the ads that Google sends your way and that can have a huge impact on the earnings potential of the web site.

Perhaps the biggest mistake made by would be AdSense entrepreneurs is constantly choosing high paying keywords. These web site owners assume that these expensive keywords will yield the most income, but it is important to exercise caution in this regard. The goal of an effective AdSense program is not simply to get visitors to your web site but to encourage them to stay and click the ads they find there.

It is important to use strategic thinking and to look at your web site through the eyes of a visitor. Think about the types of ads you would expect to see on a site like yours, and choose those keywords that are most likely to bring those kinds of ads.

For instance, if you run a site devoted to the classic and collector car hobby, you might expect to see ads for car parts, car polishes and the like. Including those keywords that are both popular and relevant to your site is likely to yield the best results.

There are many ways to research the best keywords to use on your Google AdSense site. For instance, you can check the popularity of keywords if you have an account established with Google AdWords. The statistics available there will help you to get a feel for the popularity of various keywords and phrases, as well as an idea of the costs and potential returns. Google AdWords also supplies a tool called the AdWords Keywords Tool. This tool can help web site owners look for alternate keywords and variations of popular keywords.

A tool known as Keyword Analyzer is also able to generate many key phrases that users have been typing into various search engines. This can be a powerful tool for web site owners.

Word Tracker is another popular tool for keeping track of popular keywords in real time. This powerful tool tracks the top 1,000 keywords and can also help web site owners to create a list of keywords relevant to their sites.

All of these keyword tracking tools can have a profound impact on the earnings potential of any AdSense program. Having the right keywords in your web site content can help to bring those targeted and highly effective ads your way. It is important to always keep in mind that the Google algorithms use the content found on the pages of your web site to determine which ads to serve.

Having the most popular and most relevant keywords within the pages of your web site is the best way to make sure that you get the ads that are most relevant to the subject of your web site. Having good content is a proven way to improve clickthrough rates and enhance revenue.

In addition to the keywords found within the content of the site, the URL of the web page itself is an important factor. The current thinking is that the keywords on the URL are just as important, or even more important, than the content keywords. Changing an ordinary URL to a keyword rich one can help to boost revenue and earnings even more than addition keyword rich content. Best of all, registering domain names is fast and easy, and can cost only a few dollars, making it easy to snag a keyword rich URL.

[keyword analysis research] WordTracker Offers Free Keyword Suggestion Tool Recently!

Recently, WordTracker offers FREE keyword suggestion tool for internet marketer. Personally, it is a good keyword suggestion tool for your keyword brainstorming. However, if you are truly serious about keyword analysis research, I highly recommend you to use WordTracker full version or Keyword Discovery keyword research tool.

You'll discover an interesting article written by Jennifer Laycock about Free Keyword Suggestion Tool in WordTracker here:

"Wordtracker, the popular subscription based keyword research tool used by many professional search marketers, has announced a new free keyword suggestion tool that offers search estimates on up to 100 keyword phrases at a time. While the tool lacks many of the more powerful research features of Wordtracker's paid service and the subscription service offered by Trellian's KeywordDiscovery.com, it does serve as a powerful way for small business owners to find out what variations of a phrase are being searched.

The tool is available at: http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com and works by tapping into the search records of Dogpile and Metacrawler. Basically, you type in a search term or keyword phrase and the free Wordtracker tool will provide you with an estimate of the daily number of searches for that phrase. It will also provide up to one hundred related phrases and the search volume for them as well.

From the press release covering the launch:

"Keywords are simply the words people use when they search. Incorporate those words into your website copy and your position in search engines results will rise – often dramatically – and that means more sales online." Mike Mindel, CTO and co founder of Wordtracker.

"There is a gap in the market for this type of tool and as Wordtracker provides the most popular paid-for keyword service on the web it made sense to create this service." Mindel continued.

"Our strength has always been providing in-depth analysis that allows marketers to get to understand customer behaviour online. We're confident that once people see the benefits of initial keyword research, they will realise that this is a profitable marketing resource that they simply can't do without." He added.

It's important to note that users can purchase a single day's access of Wordtracker's full featured subscription service for about $8 (US funds). Most small businesses can spend some time on the free tool compiling a brainstorming list and then easily conduct necessary keyword research in a matter of an afternoon. That makes Wordtracker one of the most affordable options out there for small business keyword research."

My bottom line is that Free Keyword Suggestion Tool in WordTracker is a good keyword research tool for your initial keyword brainstorming. I highly encourage you to use the full version of WordTracker for your serious keyword research. Also, you can use Keyword Discovery keyword analysis tool for your keywords.

[keyword analysis research] - Discover The Professional Keyword Analysis Research To Grow Your Home Based Business HERE!

Recently, I found a great article about the professional keyword analysis research. The article is written by Jason Lam. Personally, I like this article. I am sure that you will discover how your keyword analysis research is the key to the success of your home based internet marketing business here. If you are truly serious about your keyword analysis research, you must READ THIS:

"Keyword research is an integral part of any SEM initiative, whether it may be PPC or SEO, so it's important to do it right. Its also important to do it right from the start, Google spiders (the bots that indexes web pages) can takes up to months before they cycle to your site, so if you target the wrong keywords initially, it could take months to fix.
We've briefly listed the top 5 things to consider before you begin your fun journey of keyword researching.

1. Define your targeted pages
You should recognize what goals you want to achieve. If you are looking to sell cars, you want to optimize the pages containing information on a specific type of car or pages containing content that will lead them to buy a car. Pages such as the About Us page, History page probably won't need optimization since no one is specifically searching for those pages. Make a list of the pages you feel would provide a lead for your business, and target the keywords on those pages.

2. Speak the way your audiences speak
While the correct term to describe your product may seem obvious to you, you need to speak your audience's language in order to show up for their searches. For example, if you are selling "GPS navigation systems", a person may have searched for GPS systems. It may not be the most politically correct term (Global Positioning System Systems), but if that's what everyone is using to find the item you are selling, you may need to consider it as a keyword to target.

3. Know your competition
Sure, ranking number one for "cars" would drive up your web traffic exponentially. But what are your chances of obtaining that ranking? Typically, one word keywords are extremely difficult to optimize for because millions of pages on the web are already well optimized for it without even knowing it (unless you want to optimize for kukukabo) If you are in a very competitive industry (in the internet world) such as gaming, gambling, insurance and such, you may find it helpful to pin down your keywords to a more niche and targeted level. For example, if you are selling cars in Toronto, you may want to combine "Toronto" with "cars", or if you are targeting a specific demographic, you may want to include that it in keyword. You may find that the competition for that term drops significantly, thereby, increasing your chances of success.
By increasing your presence for these targeted key terms, you are in a better position to optimize for more ambitious keywords in the future.

4. Using the right tools
By no means are the following the only tools you should use, but they are some popular free keyword research tools that are simple, straightforward and ideal to help you get started in keyword researching.

Overture Keyword Selector Tool
- Type in your keyword and it will show you some popular related searches and its search volume during a one month period - Be cautioned however that the words within each keyphrase are rearranged in alphabetical order. For example, if you search for New York Horse Racing, it would show up as Horse New Racing York
Google AdWords Keywords Tool
- Type in your keyword and it will show you the search volume, competition levels, synonyms and display some useful data for budgeting when setting up your PPC campaign in Google
NLC Keyword Competition Index
While this is currently in development, we are providing a tool that shows you the competition you face for each keyword. This index will help you determine your chances of success at optimizing for each term. The NLC folks here are using it internally and its one of the best things for Search Engine Marketers since sliced cheese. We will provide more details to this tool in our blog in the future, so stay tuned!

5. Snoop on your competitors
After having a good set of keywords, go ahead and search for them in Google. Take note of the top results, if they are selling or promoting what you are, these are competitors. Browse through their site and keep an eye out for keywords they are using. It may help to view their Meta tags and description by going into the page source code (View > Source).

6. Smooth Integration with page content

PPC
While in PPC, you have the freedom to target more broad terms and loosely related terms, you must also consider that people who have clicked on your ad are expecting to see what they searched for. If your site has no relevance to what they keyword was, you probably just wasted $0.50.

SEO
When choosing keywords for SEO, you need to be much more selective. Remember, you will need to put these keywords on your page, and if you want to do SEO well, these terms are probably going to be in very prominent areas on your page. Make sure these terms make sense and can fit well into the context of your content.
Remember, when doing keyword research for SEO initiatives; do not ONLY aim for the terms with highest search volume and lowest competition. While that is generally a good rule of thumb, you must not forget the main point of search engine optimization, you are delivering more web users to your site, but you will ultimately need your web content to speak to your potential customers, so using keywords that make sense, and are related to your content is just as important as choosing obtainable keywords.

About the Author:
Jason Lam is a member of the Search Engine Marketing group at non-linear creations, Jason has a wealth of experience in everything SEO, PPC and SEM while working with many clients from varying industries."

Conclusion, I strongly recommend you to follow the above steps for your keyword analysis research. Also, I would love to recommend you to use WordTracker and Keyword Discovery to discover hot niche relevancy keywords with low competitors. They work very well for me! You'll discover a TON of niche keywords with those keyword analysis research tools.

[keyword analysis research] The Truth About Your Pay-Per-Click and Keyword Campaign

***Breaking News!!! Discover How To Make $4,515 In AdSense Commission In Just Over 1 Month - With Absolutely No Successes In The Past HERE! You can get it for FREE now!

Recently, I've read the article written by Shirley Kelly. The article is all about pay-per-click and keyword campaign. Personally, I believe that pay-per-click (or PPC) is a great powerful way to make money from home online. Also, I strongly believe that the KEY to the SUCCESS of making money online at home with pay-per-click is "Keyword Research". If you are truly serious about pay-per-click and keyword campaign, you must READ THIS:

"Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is quickly becoming the fastest and most effective way to reach the top search engine rankings for given key words and phrases. The concept is simple - we pay or bid competitively, for the placement within each search phrase.

While many of the search engines still have free inclusion, this does not always guarantee top placement. Keyword saturation and search engine optimization or the purposeful use of the keywords often within the website content, is also an unpredictable and often unsuccessful method of gaining ranking.

PPC ads are similar to typical ads within Search Engine Ranking Pages (SERP's), but they are above free listings often labeled "Sponsored Sites." While some offer image or banner advertising in the same auction manner, most PPC ad services focus on text ads with a website URL and brief description of what the site offers.

Where each ad is placed depends on the keywords and key phrases you select for your ad campaign. Depending on the PPC search engine, this fee may be as low as $.01 going up based on popularity, demand and exactly how much others are willing to pay for high placement.

While advertisers pay only by the actual clicks made, visibility is, in essence, free. However there is an unspoken fee associated with "unpopular" or rarely clicked ads. Most Pay-Per-Click services balance the ad click-through rate (CTR) or how many times a viewer clicks the ad and the bid amount we're willing to pay for each click when determining the ultimate seniority of each ad. Because CTR does play a significant role in placement, its wise to bid higher at the outset to gain significant clicks. It is also wise to gain as much interest and click through with each ad as possible to establish a stronger and lower priced ranking. Once this seniority is established, the cost may be lowered without harming the position quite as much.

PPC advertising offers instant results, good or bad. Once an ad is placed, it may be online immediately (in the case of Google AdWords) or within a week (in the case of Overture), receiving clicks and being rated immediately. Because of this instant response, unpopular keywords can be disenabled if not attended to fast enough making it next to impossible to use the keyword or phrase again. Also, because Pay-Per-Click advertising is an auction-style marketplace, SERP placement changes constantly.

To meet these needs, many major PPC advertising engines allow budget and automatic bid set-up. This allows you to put a maximum per day or per campaign budget on clicks, after which the ad is taken down until the budget is either replenished or automatically rolled-over to the next period. For instance, an advertiser may place a budget of $100 dollars per day on a campaign. When clicks meets this ceiling, ads stop until the next day to use up the next $100.

When conducting a Pay-Per-Click ad campaign, remember to keep the customer and their motivation in mind, develop a list of keywords that describe the products and services, target keywords the customer will be searching for and use specific phrases that clearly define the offering. Veer away from broad keyword matches, items we don’t offer or information that isn't available on the website.

The current PPC marketing has more advertising demand than available, top-ranking spots. It’s not yet known how this demand will measure out or how PPC services will address this concern in the future.

Possibly the most important part of developing PPC ad campaigns is finding the right keyword phrases. To begin developing a strong keyword phrase list, type the initial ideas of what people would search for when seeking the website in a new Excel spreadsheet. Look through the site and analyze the words that describe the products or service. Review the website, identifying words that would be of most interest to the viewers. Check web server logs to find the words visitors currently use to find the site and what pages they find most interesting. Consider what action the customer should take - find information, purchase something, bookmark the site for latter shopping or other positive advertising result.

Use the Google Keyword Tool, Overture Keyword Tool or WordTracker.com to find other relevant searches around the initial ideas. Its best practice to use the longest search phrases possible, using those no less than three words long. The more specific, the lower the cost and the more targeted traffic received. If selling specific brands, use the brand names in the keyword phrases.

Customers search during all phases of the shopping cycle - from gathering data to comparing prices and finally submitting their credit card with the store. Use keywords within each phase, considering the highest conversion will come from the audience ready to buy.

Each keyword phrase should be product or service specific. Select the type of keyword searches the ad will show under, such as broad matches, exact matches, negative matches and so forth. For example, a bookshop may want to advertise under the key word phrase "car books," but not show up for the search term "Kelly blue book cars." They have the option of blocking searches with the term "Kelly blue book cars" in the phrase.

Keyword selection is important to narrow down the exact target audience and search relevance. Additionally, the ads gain a stronger click-through rate or CTR when carefully targeted to the search traffic. Ads with low CTR may be disenabled. Ads with high CTR will gain higher ranking at a lower bid cost.

When we target exactly what the consumer is looking for, conversion rate increases significantly.

When searching online, potential customers may type many variations of the keywords including misspellings, plural form or switched word orders. So use these in the Pay-Per-Click ads also to gain the strongest and broadest audience range.

Needless to say there are far more aspects to Pay-Per-Click and Keyword Selection than I can cover in this article but the information provided here should give you a good insight into understanding how important it is to have a good understanding of how the whole Pay-Per-Click and keyword selection works.

[keyword analysis research] - Discover 3 Reasons Why You MUST Target Long-Tail Keywords!

Recently, I found a great article about long-tail keywords from WordTracker Academy. Also, I like the article written by Stephen Mahaney. It is all about 3 good reasons why you have to target your long-tail keywords rather than generic keywords.

You'll discover 3 reasons to target your long-tail keywords for your own keyword analysis research here:

"Seasoned professionals in the arena of online marketing are aware of the fact that it's best to use keywords that target potential customers who are "late" in the buying cycle. So, naturally, the most common question we receive on this topic is something like...

How do I find out what these keywords are? ...and why are they so important?
In professional terms, what we are talking about here is the concept of targeting so-called long tail keywords.

Long Tail keywords are those 3 and 4-keyword phrases which are very, very specific to whatever you are selling. You see, whenever a customer uses a highly specific search phrase, they tend to be looking for exactly what they are actually going to buy. In virtually every case, such very specific searches are far more likely to convert to sales than general generic searches that tend to be geared more toward the type of research that consumers typically do prior to making a buying decision.

To help illustrate this phenomenon, let's take a look at the typical step-by-step buying path that a customer travels on the way to a making a purchase.

Consumer becomes aware of a product.
Consumer seeks information about that product in preparation for possible purchase.
Consumer evaluates alternatives to product (features, pricing, etc...).
Consumer makes their purchase decision.
Consumer pulls out their credit card and completes the transaction.
Consumer then evaluates the product after buying it and decides if they want to keep or return it.
Using the above six step path to a purchase as our model, you can probably already see that you want to target the consumer who is somewhere around step 4...

Consumer makes their purchase decision.

...because once they have made their decision to buy something, that's when they start using very specific search phrases to seek out their target purchase.

Now for the GOOD news...

Highly specific multi-word phrases tend to be far easier to rank well for than the more generic single keyword or double keyword phrases.

Here's a specific example. Let's say your site sells guided mountain climbing tours in California. At first, you might consider targeting a generic phrase like travel. After all, an adventure tour is generally the type of excursion people like to participate in while traveling on vacation.

However, if you tried to go after that phrase, you'd be facing direct competition from big sites like Yahoo.com, CNN.com and Travelocity.com. It's unlikely you'd be able to knock any of those sites out of the top 10 unless you're willing to invest a pile of money and a mountain of time.

But, even more important, travel isn't the best phrase for you to target anyway. That's because many people who search using that phrase are looking for items such as plane tickets, ocean cruises or just doing very general research on where they might like to go. They're probably not saying to themselves...

"I'm looking for someone who sells guided tours for beginners to climb Mount Shasta so I can take my family on a fun trip this summer."

If they were, they'd be entering something different than travel.

Even if you were to target a more specific phrase like mountain climbing you'd still be up against heavy hitters like About.com, Wikipedia.org, and the USDA forest service. And, unless you sell everything related to mountain climbing for every mountain around the world, the traffic you'd get for that keyword isn't likely to convert to many sales.

So let's look at some of the keywords that are specific to what you're selling—keywords that you can start ranking for and generating traffic and sales right away.

Here are a few highly specific keyphrases that relate to customers who are much later in the buying cycle—at least at step 3, probably at step 4 and possibly step 5:

california mountain climbing tours
beginner mountain climbing in california
guided mountain climbing tours
mount shasta family climbing tours
Of course, these are just a few examples. I'm sure you could think of many more. However, the point is twofold;

The long tail keywords are much easier to rank for.
People who search by using long tail keywords are far more likely to become buyers!
More Good News...

Of course this suggests that you should be creating pages that zero-in on snagging searchers who use long tail keywords. And, since there are potentially so many different long tail combinations that searchers may use to buy what you offer, that means you'll likely be creating more pages.

Well the goods news is that Google likes sites that have more pages. It makes the site look more substantial, more natural, and even more real in the eyes of the world's most popular search engine. Bear in mind that your "unique" pages need only be variants of your main offering(s) but focused on a specific long tail niche.

Therefore, each and every page will have a unique title, description meta tag, h1 header tag, and body content that emphasizes your offering by using the long tail keyword that you choose for each specific page. It isn't rocket science, but it sure does work well to snag consumers at the optimum stage of the buying process!

So, instead of focusing on just two or three highly competitive general keywords, target the dozens or even hundreds of easy-to-rank-for long tail keywords.

Also bear in mind, however, that the downside of focusing too much effort on the long tail is, if you target phrases which are too specific, you might not get enough traffic to sustain your business. That's why it's best to have:

a few pages sending you large amounts of less-targeted traffic, and
a large number of pages with each sending you small amounts of highly targeted traffic.
But overall, it's best to think of it this way; would you rather rank for one keyword which sent you 1000 visitors a day or 200 keyphrases, half of which sent you 1 buyer a day?

After you do the math you'll see that 100 buyers are much better than 1000 site visitors who are only doing research. And there is no question that the use of ultra-specific keywords demonstrate a greater intent to buy on the part of the customer. This simply leads to more sales which is, of course, what you are really after.

There's just no substitute for Research
In the end there is no substitute for doing your keyword research and determining which keywords have enough traffic to make them worth going after. And this effort must be dovetailed with doing your competitive intelligence research to determine which keywords you'll be able to rank for based on the sites you'd have to compete against.

Of course, Wordtracker is the hands-down best place to find a huge list of related keywords as well as learn how much traffic each is likely to provide your site. For many of the sites we manage, at least half of our customer traffic comes from these longer, more specific phrases—and such traffic tends to convert at a much higher level than generic 1 or 2-word keyword phrases.

So, now you have the tools it takes to get...

easier rankings
higher sales conversions
and many more pages indexed in Google
...all of which will certainly lead to a much more profitable bottom line!

Stephen Mahaney - President
Planet Ocean Communications
SearchEngineNews.com"

My bottom line is that I totally agree with this article. I strongly believe that long-tail keywords are MUCH better than general keywords. For example, if you are using pay-per-click to drive traffics to your website, I am sure that long-tail keywords will give you very high conversion rate. The more conversion rate you have, the more sales you get!

[keyword analysis research] - The Truth About Keyword Analysis Research

Recently, I found a great article written by Jay Stockwell. The article is all about the accurate of data generated by keyword analysis research tool. I would love to share with you, if you haven't read it yet. I highly recommend you to read it, if you are truly serious about keyword analysis research.

"You know what really frustrates me? People who talk about Keyword Research as if it's an exact science. Let me give anyone who needs it a "heads up". Keyword research is not an exact science and shouldn’t be discussed like it is. It's more of a black art based on skewed and inaccurate datasets. As a result it's very easy to screw up.

Yet there seems to be an underlying assumption in most articles written about the subject that keyword data is accurate and can be completely relied on. This is a dangerous assumption. Let me give you an example that demonstrates this.

Take a look at what the leading keyword research data companies were saying on what they consider to be the top 10 keywords for the phrase "fly fishing".

Here's what they came back with.

Notice anything?

That's right; none of them are the same. In fact, none of them are even close to being the same. So who’s right and who’s wrong?

Answer: they're all wrong.

Let me break it down for you. If one tool says that there are 1246 searches a month for a particular keyword, that doesn't mean you can say that during the past month the entire World Wide Web had 1246 searches.

What this figure means is that in this particular chunk or sample of data, that keyword was found 1246 times. The only time we could ever be sure that there were 1246 would be if the sample was every single search engine on the Internet and included 100% of their search volume. No tool does this - not even close.

To highlight this, Wordtracker (one of the leading keyword research companies) samples around 2% of the total Internet search volume. This sample size will provide some relatively stable data for popular keywords, but will proportionally become less accurate as the keyword popularity decreases. In simple terms, the less popular the keyword, the more likely that keyword data source will be wrong.

In fact you could argue statistically that there'll be millions of keywords that are being searched for up to 50 times a month that won’t even register in the Wordtracker database.

It's not important for you to know why, you just need to understand that the mathematics behind it say it’s so.

Now I'm not saying that to discredit Wordtracker. They do a fantastic job of keeping a massive keyword database that is arguably the most accurate in the industry. It’s just that unless your sample includes every single search, statistically, missing data is unavoidable. This problem goes across the board for all keyword research services.

So should we all just abandon keyword research tools because they aren't 100% accurate? Not at all! It just means that we need to be more aware of the limitations of the data we use; especially when we’re researching within niche markets.

Niche marketers need to pay attention to this because they are often targeting the fringe keyword phrases. More often than not deep within the statistical long tail.

So keep in mind these keyword research tool limitations next time you think you have found yourself a hot niche. Here are two good ways I double check my keyword assumptions before I invest too much time in a niche market.

Cross reference with multiple keyword tools to see if they are all saying the same things. NicheBOT V2 allows you to do this easily as it provides data from the major keyword data sources.

Run an AdWords campaign for a couple of days with your keywords to see how many searches they will receive. Just remember that unless there are less than 8 ads for that keyword, the impression number will be lower as your ad doesn't necessarily get shown for every search.

Remember, always use keyword data with skepticism. It's almost always not 100% accurate."

Conclusion, I agreed with Jay that the data accurate is NOT 100%. Personally, it is a great guideline for your own online business. Also, those keyword research tool can definitely help you to DISCOVER more niche keywords and markets. They save a TON of your time!

[keyword analysis research] Discover Top Paying Keywords To Triple Your Revenue With AdSense Online TODAY!

The key factor to TRIPLE your revenue with AdSense online today is to DISCOVER top paying keywords! Today, I am going to give you my favorite keyword analysis research tool to discover high paying keywords. You'll discover my highly recommendation for discovering high paying keywords. If you are truly serious about how to increase your revenue with AdSense online, you must READ THIS:

In people's search for higher incomes from Google AdSense a lot of AdSense publishers are looking to DISCOVER those top paying keywords that really bring the best passive income possible. The higher an advertiser pays for a keyword, they more the advertiser receives when they click on a link.

However, how can you find such keywords for your own website? Well, the answer to that question depends a little on who you are and what you're prepared to do to get those top paying keywords. But the general good news is that you can indeed discover such keywords if you need them. I highly recommend you to find the keyword research tools to help you to DISCOVER high paying keywords for your AdSense. Those keyword tools will save you a TON of your time! I am sure that you will discover some keywords that you’ve never thought about!

Of course, if you can afford such a solution, one of the best ways of getting your hands on those keywords would be to pay for them. There are specialized companies that do business by finding people good keywords, not only for the purpose of more AdSense revenue but for search engine optimization as well.

Such a service can be found on "Top Paying Keywords" here. and this is a no-brainer to getting relevant content on your website and increasing your revenue with AdSense by a whole bunch quickly.

Of course, if such a solution does not work for you, you can ultimately resort to a method of personal investigation. That means you try out keywords by yourself and see which ones work better or worse for yourself.

While you might also be doing this for the first method (paying someone else to get the keywords) it would probably be better then this because you'd at least be narrowing down search to certain items.

While you're trying this make sure to keep using AdSense's 'channels' feature along the way as it can be a very good way of letting you know which sections of your website are generating income and which aren't.

Of course, you can also yield a great amount of help from AdSense's arch enemy Overture. Overture gives you the possibility of entering keywords and finding out not only how much advertisers are paying to get them on your page, but how much people are clicking on the words as well. This service can be found at: http://www.pixelfast.com/overture/

You can also try out a keyword research tool called Word Tracker here. What this tool can do is tell you how many websites are already using the same keywords. Learn from this lesson and don't try to use the keywords that a lot of people are already using.

Also, a great aid may very well be found in Google itself. Search Google for any keywords you may wish to include in your pages and look at the results. The results on the left will probably be your competitors (and if they have Google AdSense ads on their page you can bet then are) while the links on the right display ads relevant to your search.

If your search doesn't yield any AdSense results then you might want to reconsider including those keywords in your site.

Make sure you don't use any dead words (words that don't get any links on AdSense other then public ads. That is probably the most important thing you should be doing.

Of course these are only a few methods of getting out of the dead zone and starting to make serious money with AdSense. If you've seen a lot of people with "not so hot" websites generating a lot of AdSense revenue, using these tips can get you right behind them (or in front if you're really smart) very fast. Although this is the case it is also very important to remember that having the highest paying words does not mean that you make the most money. You have to also consider how many times the advert is clicked on.

My bottom line is to find your best keyword analysis research tools to DISCOVER top paying keywords. Those keyword tools will help you to discover & expand more high paying keywords and save a TON of your time. Another keyword suggestion tool for top paying keywords is Keyword Discovery.

I am sure that you'll triple your revenue online with AdSense through those recommended keyword analysis research tool!

[keyword analysis research] Discover Keyword Optimization By Microsoft Showed Off AdCenter Last Week HERE!

Today I am going to update you about Microsoft's Keyword Optimization showed off last week. Yesterday I got a newsletter written by Kevin Newcomb about Microsoft showed off last week.

You'll discover one of three key areas Microsoft showed off last week below:

"Microsoft last week showed off adLabs research focusing on three key areas: keyword optimization, video display ads, and consumer orientation.

Keyword Optimization
Keyword optimization efforts are built upon the Keyword Service Platform (KSP), a set of services that third-party developers can use through APIs to build Web applications to analyze keywords. Microsoft released the APIs to developers last week, and Colborn said partners are currently working on various applications to more effectively suggest, categorize, monetize and forecast traffic and extract keyword terms.

"We're making it an open network by publishing and sharing the algorithm," said James Colborn, product manager for adCenter Labs. "We're excited to see how our partners will build on the KSP."

Microsoft has developed its own set of tools in adLabs based on the KSP, including a keyword forecasting tool, a search funnel analysis tool, and a search result clustering tool. A vertical competitive analysis feature allows advertises to dig deeper into the "long tail" keyword suggestions, and more accurately test budget predictions.

Marketers will also be able to extract trends in search campaigns to create modeling and forecasting tools to apply to their broader business, since the search queries will capture user intent around the marketer's products and services, he said.

Some of the more developed keyword optimization projects underway in adLabs include tools to improve the detection of commercial intent, to break down multi-word queries into separate phrases, and to classify keywords into a taxonomy that will improve contextual targeting of ads.

Commercial intent detection, currently being tested in adLabs, returns a probability score reflecting the likelihood that a word or phrase is part of a search with commercial intent. The scoring can be used to track a searcher's progress through the purchase funnel, or to determine that a searcher is not looking to purchase, but to support a previous purchase.

For instance, "digital photography" shows a 51.4-percent likelihood of having commercial intent, which reflects the informational nature of the query. Moving farther toward commercial intent is "digital camera tips," which shows an 81.7-percent likelihood.

When it gets down to choosing a camera model, searchers would likely turn to queries like "digital camera review," which shows a 98.3-percent likelihood of commercial intent, and finally "digital camera store" shows a 99.8-percent likelihood of commercial intent.
"Most marketers are ROI-focused, and can't afford the luxury of paying for non-commercial keywords," Colborn said. The tool can also help marketers target ads to users that can help move them to the next stage of the purchase funnel, or target them with information or services appropriate to their non-commercial query. "Marketers understand that people do research and eventually buy. They may want to reach their audience in the research phase so they'll keep them in mind later when they're in the commercial phase," he said.

In order to better process multi-word queries, Microsoft is developing 'query entity detection" algorithms, to break down queries into chunks that go together. So a search for "real estate agent" would recognize the phrase "real estate" should stay together, instead of treating them as a collection of single terms. The algorithm analyzes the relationship between words in a search term, and decides the best way to break it down to improve relevance of results.

The keyword categorization engine will be incorporated into adCenter as part of the Content Ads addition later this quarter. It will help solve the problem that some contextual ad networks have of delivering too much irrelevant traffic or not enough traffic overall, Colborn said.

"You need to place contextual ads in the most precise category. The keyword categorization engine will identify content channels appropriate for a business, and provide a confidence score of which category a keyword fits in," he said.

The Content Ads program has been in beta with several advertisers since October, and more U.S. advertisers will begin to see their campaigns show up in Microsoft's Content Ads program as early as this week, according to the adCenter team. Advertisers were selected based on how well their ads match the inventory currently available in the pilot. Plans call for a roll-out to all customers shortly after the pilot concludes.

Unlike most other contextual ad programs, Content Ads is not yet open to third-party publisher sites. Instead, ads will appear on Microsoft properties, such as MSN, MSN Money, Dating and Personals. Advertisers will have the option to opt out of the Content Ads program at any time, or to set separate bids for keywords to display on content pages.

Many search marketers have seen early success with adCenter, though a common lament is for more traffic, as long as quality does not go down. Microsoft is hoping Content Ads will be one answer to the inventory problem."

[keyword software] - Microsoft Is Testing A New Keyword Analytics Tool

Yesterday, I found an interesting news about keyword tool. It is about Microsoft! Thus, today I am going to give you a short news about Microsoft's new keyword analystics tool. As far as I know now, they are testing their new keyword analytics tool.

Here is what I got from one website yesterday:

"Microsoft is testing a keyword and website analytics tool - code-named "Gatineau" - to compete with Google's free offering, Google Analytics, reports MediaPost (via MarketingVox).

The technology will be based on that of the Gatineau, Canada-based DeepMetrix Corporation, which Microsoft acquired last year. Microsoft is expected to launch an invite-only beta to test the tool in the coming months.

Microsoft will add users gradually, to avoid system instabilty - something that initially plagued Google Analytics, which was unprepared for the influx of users when it launched in October 2005."

Personally, it is interesting that Microsoft will launch a new keyword analytics tool. It seems that Google will have another BIG competitor for keyword analytics tool in this year.

Conclusion, there are so many keyword analysis research tools in the current market now. If you are looking for keyword tool to help you to find more & expand your niche keywords, I highly recommend you to consider Keyword Elite, WordTracker and Keyword Discovery. You'll discover great features will help you to explore your keywords list. However, the most important thing to find the best keyword analysis research tool is to know exactly for what you need to use.

[keyword analysis research] Case Study: TrustyGuides.com uses Wordtracker as a market research department by Neil Davidson

Recently, I got a several emails from my friends asking about WordTracker and Keyword Discovery. Which one do they have to use for their website? Personally, I am using WordTracker right now. And Today I am going to share you a case study written by Neil Davidson from WordTracker for your consideration. I highly recommend you who are looking for #1 best keyword analysis research tool for your website to READ THIS:

"In 2004, Christopher Cummings had a big idea for a new website. He thought there was a gap in the market, and because of that he was sure his big idea was as close to a sure-fire success as anything could be. Then he saw that success depended on something else. It was something that he was a complete novice in, the intelligent use of keyword research data.

The idea behind creating TrustyGuides was to offer an alternative information source on all sorts of subjects on the internet, such as careers, personal finance, parenting and education. But Christopher Cummings says that there was more to this alternative than just great content.

"I wanted to differentiate our content through ease of use and effectiveness as well. Our guides had to be easy to navigate and clearly structured, unlike much of our competition. There weren't going to be any of the other usual annoyances either, like pop-ups, flash animations and all the other things that can ruin a user’s Internet experience. The thinking was spot-on, but the missing part of the jigsaw was keyword research data."

TrustyGuides has come a long way since then. It's now a successful business that is immersed in keyword research data. Four key learnings on search engine optimization (SEO) contributed to the business's success:

1. A great idea on the Internet can die if it's not supported by a robust SEO strategy, but with one it can thrive.
2. For new websites, the use of less popular keyphrases is more effective than using popular keywords, as these are already owned by the more established competition.
3. The keyword data supplied by Wordtracker can take the place of a conventional market research department, adding value to creative thinking, as well as adding objectivity to final decisions.
4. The world of SEO is constantly changing, never static. This requires constant re-checking and refining of content against the latest keyword research results.
TrustyGuides' enters the world of keyword research data.

Christopher Cummings remembers that it was at a meeting with the owner of a content management software company that he discovered this part of the jigsaw.

"He told me how important the right keywords would be for any content-focused website. He said that at least 70% of web-users start their internet session by using a search engine. I was astonished by the figure. Even if the figure was really closer to 50% it still had big implications for my business. He didn't need to make his next point, that any website has to rank highly in search engine results, or nobody will come to it. I was already thinking it."

Christopher happily admits to being a complete novice in the world of SEO at that time. That was something that would soon change.

"I bought a range of SEO books and read-up on everything there was to know on the subject. It reinforced what I had been told, that the choice of keywords could decide the success or failure of TrustyGuides. I invested in one of the keyword research data products mentioned again and again in the texts, Wordtracker."

Wordtracker becomes TrustyGuides' marketing research department.

TrustyGuides was launched in 2005, but at that time Christopher Cummings still could never have predicted how important Wordtracker would become to his business.

"Within the space of a year, it went from being something that I knew almost nothing about to being at the heart of every decision we made in the business. It became our market research department. We now have a clear development process for developing content, and Wordtracker is always part of that process."

In its simplest form, TrustyGuides develops content through four steps:

1. The team starts the content creation process by brainstorming potential topics, based on what they know about their audience, what's contemporary and what they have learned from Wordtracker previously.
2. They review the list and agree what ideas they think are worth developing, based on what they know about their typical readers.
3. They then investigate what topics will also bring in advertising revenue as well as interest readers, and use that to inform their selections.
4. Wordtracker helps them make the final decision on which topics are to be developed, based on which topics perform well on searches.
5. Using Wordtracker, they begin the work on finding keyphrases within the chosen subject areas, to make sure that they get a high search-engine ranking.

Keyphrases are more important than keywords.

As the team tried out different SEO strategies they learned what worked and what didn't. Now, keyphrases are now more important than keywords for Trusty Guides, as Christopher Cummings explains.

"For me, this was the most important learning since we started working this way. It's something that other new websites need to consider. Your competition may have been around for years, and, if they're any good, they are search engine optimized and have thousands of inbound links. How are you going to win against that sort of competition, with their 100% focus on a keyword that you want to own? For TrustyGuides, success has been based on owning the keyword phrases that have high scores but that no one else has taken complete ownership of yet. It's far more effective to be number three in a search for a reasonably popular keyphrase than to be number 3,000 in a search for the most popular keyword."

When it comes to TrustyGuides advice on parenting, the area of potty training is a good example. When the team looked at the search term "potty training', they decided it wasn't a term worth fighting for ownership of, since so many established websites owned it already. But when they looked at the area of potty training they discovered many other interesting variations on the term. One was "potty training chart', and though they decided that the competition for that was too tough, they saw an opportunity with "printable potty training chart.' TrustyGuides decided to focus on this term, and it has been a success for them.

This approach has become a successful formula and one that adds a new dimension to the to the content development process. But, as Christopher Cummings says, Wordtracker can perform an important role at many development stages.

"Keyword research data can be a springboard to creative thinking, as it tells you what your audience is thinking, but it also adds objectivity to any decisions made, just as any market research would, because its based on the behavior of your target audience. You can't get any more solid research than data based on actual behavior, so you know that you can trust it 100%."

Finding the right content is a constant quest for Trusty Guides.

TrustyGuides has learned to avoid the mistakes others make, creating and optimize content and then forgetting about it. Keyword research data results are constantly changing, because users' search behavior is also constantly changing. It means that no piece of content is guaranteed success, or may not need changing, even when it has been successful at first. It's something that Christopher Cummings feels strongly about.

"Finding that a keyword or keyphrase is popular is only the first step. But even once the keywords are chosen, a page is search engine optimized and the site is live, the job is only half done. We need to check that what we have done works, and tweak or even re-work pages that don't perform as well as we wanted them to."

It's this constant vigilance that has made TrustyGuides the success that it is. It is also, Christopher Cummings believes, a key part of their hoped-for success in the future.

"Of course, we will continue to rely on Wordtracker for developing new subject areas and new pages, but we will also get better and better at measuring the success of content and changing underperforming pages. Wordtracker will also play an essential role in helping us to do that."

Conclusion, I believe that WordTracker keyword analysis research tool provides you a GREAT features, keyword research and MORE for you to build your highly successful website and find HOT niche keywords. Meanwhile, Keyword Discovery is a new generation of keyword research tool. They provide a great services for your own keyword research (e.g. suitable for PPC advertiser, SEO, and Publisher).

[Search Marketing Plan Keyword Marketing] The Truth About Using Meta Keywords Tag!

Yesterday, I just found an interesting article addressing about meta keywords tag. The article is written by Richard Ball. He addressed that you do NOT use meta keywords tag any more. It is the primary beneficiary to your competitors. You'll discover more information about the drawback of using meta keywords tag below:

"Do not use the meta keywords tag. Many people still think of this as a quick fix for SEO. It's not. Google no longer uses it. In fact, it is likely that Google penalizes sites that do employ the meta keywords tag. Yahoo is perhaps the only search engine that still uses the meta keywords tag but places very little weight on it. By placing this tag on a web page, the primary beneficiary is your competition. How so? The meta keywords tag gives your competitors a nicely formatted list of your important keywords. Don't believe me? Try the free keyword research tool at the end of this article.

Search engines used to rely heavily on the meta keywords tag to guess which keywords were relevant on a web page. Now search engines are sophisticated enough to examine the actual keywords in the body of a web page. Major search engines place little, if any, value in the meta keywords tag. There is more risk than reward in using the meta keywords tag because your competitors can view the meta keywords tag and can steal your keywords. What do I mean by "steal" your keywords? By placing the meta keywords tag on a page, you are, in effect, giving your competitors a list of your important keywords. They can then use these keywords and buy PPC ads or optimize their own site for your important keywords. Why give them this sort of business intelligence? Having invested time and money on exhaustive keyword research to identify the important keyword phrases to use for your own SEO and PPC efforts, why on earth would you make a list of your high value keywords public?

Here is our meta keywords advice: do not use the meta keywords tag. Instead, make sure the title of your web page has your important keywords and that those keywords are repeated in the body of your web page. If you want to, create a meta description tag. The search engines do use that meta tag, but it's not essential for SEO. Creating good content is essential. Each page should have useful content and include your important keywords. Don't try to stuff all of your important keywords onto a single page. Create pages around a theme, a small collection of keyword phrases. For instance, target 1-3 keyword phrases per page. Write a title that incorporates those keyword phrases. If the title seems awkward from the point of view of your audience (site visitors not the search engines), scale back the number of phrases and try again. If you choose to write a meta description tag, it should reinforce the keywords already in the title tag. The body of the page should then include those important keyword phrases. Again, though, the content of the page should be written for your site visitors and not seem awkward.

Since many web sites do still use the meta keywords tag, we have developed a free keyword research tool that will analyze the meta keywords of your competition. Use the tool to see what keywords your competitors are embedding in their meta keywords tags and then research these keywords using other freely available tools. When I begin work for a new client, I ask them for a list of their competitors' web sites. I plug those into the tool and it gives me an instant list of keywords. That's only the beginning, a starting point for further keyword research. As time goes on, I expect online businesses to become a bit more savvy regarding meta tags and this tool will no longer provide a quick start. In the meantime, use the free keyword tool and crush your competition!

Prior to starting Apogee Web Consulting, Richard was a software developer for America Online. He has a degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT."

Conclusion, I personally agreed that using meta keywords tag will be primary beneficary to your competitors. However, my recommendation is that you have to test this and try to hide your meta keywords tag (if you want to use it). My rule of thumb is to test everything you can test!

[Search Marketing Plan Keyword Marketing] - If You Are Truly Serious About Keyword Analysis Research For SEO, You Must READ THIS!

Yesterday, I found an EXCELLENT keyword analysis research article provided by Adriana Iordan. The article is all about choosing keywords efficiently for SEO. You'll discover step-by-step of how to do an efficiently & effectively keyword analysis research for SEO. If you are building your own website & doing your keyword research, you must READ THIS and implement all techniques in this article. In my opinion, this is a great article about keyword analysis research.

Here is how to do efficiently keywords research for SEO:

"Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is paramount for businesses that choose to make themselves known via the Internet.

Keyword research and, ultimately, keyword selection are extremely important parts of the overall SEO process. Selecting keywords relevant to your field of activity is essential. Make sure you conduct a proper in-depth keyword research before you begin placing keywords on your web site.

If you want your web site to be high ranked in search engines, then find out the words that searchers use to get to your site and place them in the appropriate places.

Nevertheless, avoid the trap of placing too many keywords on a single page, because many search engines nowadays have "spam" filters, which means that your site might not even appear among search results.

Below are some tips on how you can perform a proper keyword research and how to use the keywords you have selected in order to optimize your site and rank it as high as possible in the most commonly used search engines. Always be aware that keyword selection is fundamental. Choosing keywords that people might not use to find your site and your products/services will not get you the expected traffic.

What you need is relevant traffic, namely visits that will eventually convert into sales/contracts. The higher the conversion rate is, the better for you and your business.

Given the fact that the main purpose of a web page is to provide information, and that the Internet offers a vast array of choices for prospective customers, it is of utmost importance to have the right keywords embedded in your web pages. To achieve this, there are some steps that you need to follow.

Brainstorming

The first step you need to take is to simply sit down and write down keywords. Write everything. Do not discard any idea that comes into your mind. You will brush up that extensive list later on. Consult your old web site (if there is one) and even some documentation from the sales department. Consult your internal search logs (the logs on your server) to track where your visitors came from and if possible, extract more keyword combinations. Essentially, you will find out what you are missing. Even if you're not sure about a certain keyword, that it will prove relevant for your purpose, write it down anyway. It may lead you to something more closely related.

If you feel that you have "the writer's block", have a brainstorming session. The main purpose of this session is to make you and the other participants think outside the box. Interact with people, ask for their opinion and get their feedback. You can get invaluable ideas and suggestions from a multitude of sources, such as your colleagues, clients, or friends. Remember to always think like a customer. This is a rule of thumb in marketing. Remain focused on the prospective customers and try to understand how they think.

Keep in mind that searchers often mistype words when searching the Internet. Try to think of the most common spelling mistakes for your keywords and include them in your list. Don't neglect those words that are written preferentially with a hyphen or without it, or those that are written with or without spaces between them. Add them to your list.

Another thing that you have to pay attention to is the language that the targeted audience uses. Take jargon into account, and make use of it if you consider necessary.

At the end, begin brushing up your list. Remove any words that, even if they describe your products / services perfectly, are simply too common and aren't searched for too often. Work on your list until you get a number of keywords that you consider the closest match to what you are looking for.

Keyword Research Tools

Now that you have narrowed down your keywords list, it's time to evaluate the result. Technical assistance is welcome and help is available online. There are numerous resources, applications that will help you in your endeavor, free of charge or for a certain fee. Nevertheless, remember that no tool is perfect. Don't be afraid to use your intelligence and common sense. These tools will help you select which keywords to use, but, by no means, will predict the amount of (relevant) traffic that you'll get by using them.

Free

*Overture Inventory- currently a Yahoo! Search Marketing product - generates a list of related searches that include your term and also shows how many times the term was searched for during the last month.
* Related Pages- generates a list of possible keyword combinations based on lists of keywords that you provide
*Google's Keyword Tool- generates potential keywords for your ad campaign and reports their Google statistics, including search performance and seasonal trends
* Google Suggest- as you type, Google will offer suggestions
* SEO Book Keyword Suggestion Tool- shows top keyword phrases from Overture; links to other keyword research tools and links at various vertical databases, blog searches and tagging systems to show you top results from other information sources
* Digital Point Keyword Research Tool- shows you the results of your query from both Wordtracker and Overture for determining which phrases are searched for most often
* Good Keywords- a free Windows software for finding the perfect set of keywords for your web pages

Fee Based

* Wordtracker- free trial also available - Discover the best keywords to target on your website
* KeywordDiscovery- free trial also available - Find the best keywords for your website
* Keyword Intelligence- drive high quality customers to your website using the top search terms used successfully by millions of people across all major search engines including Google, Yahoo! and MSN

When you consider that you have narrowed down your list to what you were looking for, submit each and every one of the remaining keywords into some of the most popular search engines and see the results. If the results consist of web pages that are not by far related to your own, this is a sign that you are still a long way from the expected result and you have to toil some more.

Competition Analysis

View Source Code

The simplest way is to view the source code of the competitors' web pages. This does not mean that you have to copy (or even be able to if they are trademarked) what they have, but it will help you gain more insight into what you need to include in your own source code. Observe the keywords they have used in places such as the title, headings, description, etc., and use this knowledge to get new ideas of your own.

Google

Another method is entering the keyword that you consider as "primary" for a specific page (the one around which all the optimization process revolves) in a search engine such as Google.

This is the toughest search engine at present, and most SEOs techniques nowadays are made with it in mind You can read our article about it here: Is Outsourcing SEO Services a Good Idea for Your Business? Focus your attention on the number of "hits" that Google returns for your keyword. It will probably be a rather large number, so the next step is to refine your search and try to get less and less hits on your keyword. Two of the methods that you can use are the "all-in-title" method, and the "all-in-anchor" method.

All in Title
This method targets the keyword embedded in the title tag of the web page. What you have to do is to type allintitle: "your keyword" in the search field of your search engine and it will give you results with sites that contain your keyword in their titles.

All in Anchor
An anchor is the part of a web site that is clickable (it has a link associated to it, and it can be either a picture or some text). To find out who are your competitors that use this keyword placement technique, type allinanchor: "your keyword" in the search field of your search engine. The results represent those sites that have anchor text containing your keyword.

Online Help

Of course, you can analyze your competition by means of other resources available online, such as:

* GoogSpy- free; shows a small sample of terms that competing sites are using to get ranked in search results
* AdGooRoo.com/- fee-based, but a trial version is also available
* HitWise- fee-based

Trends Monitoring

If you want to perform an analysis and a comparison of the searchability of your selected keywords, then you can use Google Trends, which analyzes a portion of the Google web searches and calculates how many searches have been done for the terms that you enter relative to the total number of searches done on Google over time. A graph is displayed where you can see the interest taken in your keywords. Use this information to make adjustments and to improve your keyword selection and placement strategy.

Analytics

Keep track of your visitors and the performance of your keywords by using Google Analytics. Don't think that you will do great from the very beginning. Keyword placement is a process that never stops. Analyze your results and learn from your mistakes. Also, keep experimenting based on the results that you get. To gain more experience and knowledge, regularly check forums and consult people with experience. There's always something to learn or work on.

16 Rules of Thumb

There are some basic rules that you need to follow when choosing keywords in order to receive relevant traffic on your web site:

* Don't use single words. Phrases are better than words.
* Be relevant. Make sure that the description of your web site reflects what you have to offer.
* Be a mind reader. Try to anticipate your prospective visitors' needs and meet them.
* Be specific. Choose keywords with a narrower focus to face less competition.
* Localize your keywords: make use of your geographical location, but avoid getting too specific. Also, be aware of the differences between words in different locations (e.g. elevator (US) - lift (UK), sweater (US) - jumper (UK)). Perform your optimization process accordingly to get the best results.
* Choose a primary keyword for which to optimize your web page, and some secondary keywords that can be helpful in increasing the number of your potential visitors who use them in their search.
* Use the available keyword research tools. They can be of great help, but don't neglect your own abilities.
* Test your final list on Google (home page). It's time consuming, but it's a must. Otherwise you will end up using keywords that have very little chance of ranking at least reasonably well in search engines.
* Make sure you use 3-4 different (but related) keywords on each of the pages of your web site. This approach has been proven to be quite successful.
* Pay attention to your keyword placement. The best places in the HTML layer are title tags, header tags, ALT tags, anchor texts, bold/italic tag content, URLs, meta-tags and comments. You can use Page Primer, a tool that "gives you detailed, customized tips to boost your search engine ranking by analyzing your page and providing personalized recommendations for your individual pages".
* Don't overlook misspellings of your selected keywords. Add them to your list.
* Review and rewrite your site to include the keywords you have selected.
* Use an internal site search function if you have a large site. Your visitors will navigate and find the info they're looking for much easier. You can also see exactly the terms they're searching on.
* Check keyword density (how many times a keyword is used on a page divided by the number of words on that page). Theoretically, the higher it is, the better, but this could turn against you. You could risk getting penalties form search engines.
* Target highly searched terms that have as little competition as possible. Nevertheless, if you happen to find a keyword with little competition, don't include it on your web site just for this reason alone.
* Focus on the conversion rate: the percentage of Internet users that perform searches using the keywords that you have selected and convert into buyers (of goods or services).

Finally, make sure that you have seen this process through, and that you haven't overlooked any of the steps and procedures that are recommended for SEO. And don't forget that less traffic with more sales is always better than more traffic with fewer sales.

[keyword analysis research] - Discover The Difference Between WordTracker And Yahoo Keyword Suggestion Tool Here!

Recently, I got a few emails from my friend asking about the difference points between WordTracker and Yahoo Keyword Suggestion Tool. Personally, the major difference between WordTracker and Yahoo Keyword Suggestion Tool (or called "Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool") are:

  • WordTracker allows you to find exactly keywords for what people are searching. Meanwhile Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool doesn't give you to do that.
  • WordTracker allows you to dig more multi-level (paid version) of keywords and to generate easily a massive of keywords list. Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool allows you to dig more a few level of keywords research.
  • WordTracker gives you more flexible to do your own keyword analysis research. Meanwhile, Overture gives you the data for Yahoo only.
  • WordTracker has two versions: (1) Free Trial version and (2) Paid/Full version. Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool is free.

My bottom line is that WordTracker with full version is suitable for you who are looking for doing your advanced keyword analysis research rather than Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool.

Click here now to learn more how to use WordTracker efficiency & start discovering exactly keywords what people search today!

However, as my further investigation, I found a support article written by Simon Akers. The title of article is "Keyword Research Tips - The Difference Between WordTracker & Yahoo Keyword Suggestion Tool". You'll discover how they are difference below:

"In order to find profitable niche markets, use search engine optimization, and set up pay per click advertising campaigns you need to search for popular keywords and find out statistics using keyword research tools.

Because the Yahoo Keyword Suggestion Tool is free most people decide to use it for their keyword research but its not as accurate as Word Tracker.

This is because many rank checkers and bid management tools search Yahoo to find their results and this causes the numbers to be artificially inflated, especially for popular keywords, which can give the impression that some keywords are more popular than they actually are.

It also does not separate plural and singular versions of keywords so you will need to manually add plural versions because they are used separately and give different results when you search for them using most search engines.

If you want accurate results and detailed statistics you should consider using a more advanced keyword research tool called Word Tracker which has many essential features which will save you a lot of time and effort.

The most useful feature will provide you with a list of similar keywords that bear any relation to your search query. These keywords are worth targeting and many will turn out to be very profitable.

There is also a competition search that will help you find keywords with less competition which are easier to achieve high rankings for, allowing you to gain more traffic for less work.

Word Tracker is an invaluable tool for your search engine optimization plan and pay per click advertising campaign and it will make your research a lot easier while giving you an advantage over everyone who uses the Yahoo Keyword Suggestion Tool.

There is actually a free keyword research tool provided by Digital Point that will search both Word Tracker and Yahoo Keyword Suggestion Tool together and show the results side by side so that you can clearly see the difference between the two.

Digital Point Keyword Suggestion Tool:

This article was written by Simon Akers who is the editor of the Marketing Oasis newsletter, a free internet marketing ezine packed with tips to help you succeed and increase your profits: http://www.MarketingOasis.com"

Conclusion, if you are truly serious about doing keyword research and search engine optimization, I highly recommend you to use WordTracker with full/paid version. You'll discover hot niche keywords with high relevancy and low competitors. Believe me, you need those keywords. Actually, you need a lot. [keyword analysis research] - Alternatively Keyword Analysis Research With WordTracker To Build Your Massive Keywords

A few days ago, I found an ALTERNATIVE keyword analysis research provided by WordTracker - Ken McGaffin. After I read the article, I found that the article gives you an internesting alternative way for keyword analysis research. Actually, it should be the basic of keyword analysis research with WordTracker in my opinion. For all new home based internet marketing business people who are confusing about keyword research, I highly recommend to READ THIS. You'll get an idea of how to do your own keyword research and build your massive keywords by WordTracker.

"A simple method for expanding your lists of profitable keywords. The secret of writing great online copy is simple: use keywords - the words people use when they search - in your copy. The reasons for this are two fold:
  1. if you use the words people use when they search in your copy, page titles, descriptions and links, then you’ll score well in search engine results and more people will find your site.
  2. the language you use will be appropriate to your audience. And as any seasoned direct marketer will tell you, speak to people in their own language and they will be more likely to buy from you.

That of course begs the question, "How do you find your best keywords"?
Most people either just guess or do perfunctory research using one of the many free keyword tools that you'll find online.

But if you want to succeed online, you've got to spend enough time and energy finding out the words your customers really use whey they search. You'll need not just 20-30 keywords, you'll need hundreds - and many of the most successful online companies will have thousands of keywords.

The keyword matrix is a simple methodology that allows you to build a comprehensive keyword list using the Wordtracker database. Here are the 3 steps involved: you can also download the Excel spreadsheets we generated for this example - this gives you almost 5,000 relevant keywords using the full version of Wordtracker and 85 relevant keyword using the free trial version.

Step 1 - Start with a common word or phrase that is appropriate to your business
Start simple. Your starting point does not need to be clever or creative. All you need is a common word or phrase relevant to your business - Wordtracker will help you find clever keywords later.

So in the example above, a good starting point would be the word 'chocolate'.
Using the keyword researcher at Wordtracker, you can find 1000 keywords that all contain the word, 'chocolate'.

Now all you have to do is rush off and optimize your web pages for those phrases, right?

Wrong! That is what most people will do and as a result they will miss out on some very powerful keywords that are not immediately obvious.

Time to move on to step 2 and get inside the keyword matrix.

Step 2 - Find words that are related to your original keyword
Here the task is not to find relevant keywords that contain the word 'chocolate': in fact, it is just the opposite - to find relevant keywords that do not contain the word 'chocolate'.
Go to the related keywords feature on Wordtracker and enter the word chocolate. Wordtracker now searches 100 websites that score well on search engines for the search 'chocolate' and extracts the phrases that those sites use. From that you'll find relevant keywords such as truffles, cocoa, fudge, confectionery, gifts, gourmet and so on.

Scan the list of related keywords and pick the ones that YOU feel are relevant to your business. Your input is required: Wordtracker is not a machine that churns out a list of keywords that will automatically bring you a fortune. If that was so, everybody would get the same results. Rather, Wordtracker is a tool that allows you to find your best keywords."

Click here now to try trail version of WordTracker!

" So from the list of related terms you might pick truffles, cocoa, fudge and candy.

Step 3: Use the related words to generate many more relevant keywords
Essentially, this repeats step 1 for each of the related keywords that you have chosen. Take each of your chosen related words and enter them into the keyword researcher in turn.

By following this methodology, you can quickly generate hundreds of relevant keywords that reflect the subtleties - and niche markets - within your marketplace.

Final words
The average person will do their keyword research once and then forget about it.
But that is the way to get average results. Effective keyword research is an ongoing process and to get outstanding results you must work at it regularly.

Successful keyword researchers will:

  1. Regularly check your keyword counts on Wordtracker - they can go up and down over time.
  2. Continue to add more keywords to your matrix. The more effective keywords you have, the more profitable your online business will be.
  3. Monitor how well your keywords do. Performance will always be a mixture of:
    - Keywords that bring good traffic and good conversions (these are the words people use when they are in buying mode)
    - Keywords that bring you good traffic but poor conversions (these are the words people use when they are in research mode)
    - Keywords that bring low traffic but great conversions( these are the words that represent buying behaviour in niche markets).

Overall, there will be a mix of such keywords in any comprehensive keyword matrix."

Conclusion, I highly recommend you to follow the above steps if you are stuggling to your own keyword analysis research or if you have NO idea of how to do your own keyword analysis research.

[keyword analysis research] - Learn Exactly How To Find Keywords With High CPC

There's no doubt about it. The key to online prominence lies in mastering the art of finding the right keywords.

Keywords are the specific words that internet users type in the search engine fields to find the information they need. If your website contains these exact keywords, in their proper density level, you'd have a great chance of appearing in a good position on the search engine results pages (SERPs).

Whether you're selling your own products, or promoting your affiliate links, or inviting people to subscribe to a membership program you have developed, you would need a website to carry out your marketing approach, and you will need visitors to come to your website to experience the success that its potentials promise. And the key to generating a lot of visitors for your website lies in the selection of the correct keywords.

Keywords take on a more important role when it comes to online endeavors enrolled with Pay Per Click (PPC) programs. Keywords would attract the ads that the PPC programs can assign, and once your visitors would click on such ads, you will earn a specified amount. There are some ads that pay a measly $0.05 per click. But there are also some ads that pay as much as $50.00 per click. How can you secure for yourself the latter option? Well, you must be able to determine the most profitable keywords beforehand.

Finding profitable keywords isn't really difficult, for as long as you know what you're doing. There are three ways by which you could accomplish this.

  1. Go to http://www.adsensearena.com/ . This is, by far, the easiest as well as the most cost-efficient approach. The said website has long been a secret of people in the know. No one knows how the website came about. No one even knows who maintains its pages. But everyone agree that the information it contains are pretty much accurate, save for some entries which are a little bit dated. The website http://www.adsensearena.com/ contains a comprehensive list of keywords together with their corresponding Cost Per Click (CPC). Simply do a manual search and look for the keywords that command a high CPC. Then build a content website based on what you will discover.
  2. Create an AdWords account. AdWords is Google's service for PPC advertisers. Creating an account won't cost a single cent, but it would give you access to a control panel where you could view the bidding for certain keywords. All you have to do is to find keywords that command very high bids. This would give you an idea about how much the CPC of those keywords could be. Interested with this approach? Visit https://adwords.google.com/ today.
  3. A number of online marketers offer keyword lists of the hottest topics today. These are subjects that have little competition, and which can be profitably exploited for your AdSense PPC campaigns. Often, these lists come with reports detailing the expected CPC of each of the keywords in the said lists. The online marketers who distribute the same would require a fee, of course, but if you have made content sites the engine of your online enterprise, these keyword lists could prove valuable for your endeavors.

There are three basic components to a successful PPC campaign. These are your website's page impressions, or the number of unique visitors who get to load up your pages; your website's Click Through Rate (CTR), or the number of visitors who get to click on the ads displayed on your website; and your ads' CPC. The right keywords would attract ads with high CPC, and you'll be able to solve 1/3 of the equation. The other 2/3? This is where marketing strategies would come in.

[keyword analysis research] - Learn Exactly How You Can Choose Your Profitable Keywords For Your Website

Are you building your own web site? If yes, you have to know that the key factor of building a highly successful website is to find the high profitable keywords with high search volume and low competitors. Today I would like to share you the article showing how to select your keywords for your web site. The article is written by Arthur Browning. You'll find exactly how the expert internet marketers build their own web site with their keywords selection.

Here is how to select your keywords for your web site:

"The first step in establishing a presence on the web is to make a keyword list. You want to get all the best keywords on the first page without problems.

To formulate the most effective keyword list possible for your website you will need to be precise and exhaustive about what you wish to offer and what you will not offer. Whether you sell products/services or provide information you must have a complete inventory of all of it.
Once you have an inventory of everything in your website you will use this list to brainstorm a list of "possible" keywords and keyword phrases.

If your website will be used for a national concern such that location is not important then location shouldn't be part of your keywords. If, however your offerings are for one city or region then that city or region will be part of your "possible" keywords.

The types of products/services/information you offer should be broken down into categories - and each word modifier of those categories should be a "possible" keyword. If you sell fast-food you should list every item on your menu, every characteristic that you want each item to be known for (hot, cold, icy, jumbo, special sauce, etc.), how it will be served (quickly, proudly, not before its time) whether your staff is knowledgeable (experts, degrees, award-winners), what side dishes or condiments are available, do you have carry-out or delivery, lighted and convenient parking, accept returns, special packaging, etc.

Once the "possible keyword" list is completed it should be fed one word at a time through the keyword tools at Google, Yahoo, etc. Every time you plug in a keyword you will get the number of searches conducted for that term over a given period of time. The keyword tools will also suggest keywords from the tool’s database that are similar to the "possible keyword" you entered.

Now you should go through the keyword tool's returned list and copy any and all similar terms along with the search value of each. Once you have completed all the lists of returns for each "possible keyword" you must go through the list one term at a time. Delete any keywords that don’t have to do with your website. You want to identify as many keywords as possible.

Now you have a long keyword list. This list must now be narrowed down. You should narrow the list by weighing the potential gain for each keyword relative to competing websites. You can use these 3 criteria to choose the keywords you will keep.
  1. The number of searches per each particular keyword (you have these from the keyword tools)
  2. The amount of competition (do a search of each keyword on the big three search engines to find your competeition for each keyword or go to http://www.startlaunch.com/research/ , copy your list of keywords into the box, click "submit", then click on each link to see your competition on Google.)
  3. Will a keyword lead to conversions (this is your decision)

With good keyword selection, you have laid the foundation for success in your webpage. This success means more traffic, better SEO, higher rank, more popularity, and satisfied visitors.

Arthur Browning began his career teaching technical writing in a small Midwestern university for 15 years. He later edited and published a national professional journal for some ten years. He is now an investor. His interests include art collecting, web marketing, writing: Web Templates Blog"

Conclusion, the key factor of building highly successful website is to find the right keywords. You have to find & select the high profitable keywords with high search volume & low competitors. [keyword analysis research] - 3 PROVEN Tips To Find The Right Keywords For Your Website & PPC Campaign

Do you have any problems with keyword analysis research? Can't find the right keywords? Too many keywords to choose? If yes, you must READ THIS:

The keyword analysis research is the key factor to your high successful in home based internet marketing business. Today, I am going to share you with 3 PROVEN tips to find the right keywords for your website and PPC campaign. Those tips are presented by Michael M. Thomas who is the 7+ years of Fortune 500 management experiences internet marketer.

Here is how to do your keyword analysis research by yourself to find the right keywords:

"If you own a website or if you use pay per click advertising you absolutely, positively must know how to find the right keywords. There's no way around it. Without knowing how to properly use keywords and how to find the right keywords, your website and your affiliate marketing efforts will not be successful.

So how do you find the right keywords? I will give you three key tips..

The first tip on how to find the right keywords applies to affiliate marketing: when you are promoting a product or a specific niche, use the exact product name as a keyword. Think about it — if you are selling "ten inch tall blue widgets" and someone types that into their search engine, wouldn't you pay for it? Of course you would. You would probably be willing to pay a lot more for that than just "widgets" or even "blue widgets". Someone who types in "ten inch tall blue widgets" is looking for exactly what you are selling. This is a highly targeted phrase. It is targeted at people who are not only curious about your product, more importantly, people who are looking to buy your product. Pay for these phrases. They are like gold. They will convert like you won't believe. Take these targeted words and phrases and build around them. Use it for broad, phrase, and exact matches. Put buying words ahead of and/or behind your targeted phrase.

Here's another tip: wherever possible, exclude "free" from all of your campaigns. If I sell "ten inch tall blue widgets", I don't want my ad to appear for someone who is searching for free ten inch tall blue widgets. As far as I’m concerned, the freebie seekers can click on my competitors' ads and drive their costs up. I don't need the freebie seekers.

Now, with that being said, there's nothing wrong with using "free" in the text of your ad. If you have a free bonus or some extra that you are offering, include free. But if your product isn't free, don't use free as a keyword. If you do, you are just paying for non-buyers to click on your ad. What's the sense in that?

If you don't believe me about excluding free from your pay per click campaigns, test it. Run two campaigns that are identical except that one excludes free and the other doesn't. Give it a few days and/or a hundred or so clicks for both campaigns. I guarantee that you will see better results - higher conversions, more revenue, and likely even lower costs - on the campaign where "free" is excluded.

The last tip, and this is a biggie, is that you should use a keyword tool. There is no better way to find the right keywords than by using a keyword tool. I have tried plenty. Some are free (try a basic search and you will find plenty). Many are expensive. Some claim that the best are costly, but that they quickly pay for themselves. I have used plenty of keyword tools - from Overture (free) to Brad Callen's KeyWord Elite.

A good keyword tool should help you to do these five things:
  1. Analysis of pay per click listings — find low cost and high traffic words. Isn’t that all you want?
  2. Create keyword lists — however many (or few) you want, you can get them
  3. Pre-built keyword lists
  4. Analyze KeyWord competition.
  5. Spy on AdWords Competition — have you ever wanted to know what your keywords your competition is bidding on?

You can with a keyword tool Find out if they run the same keywords all the time, where they are ranked, and much more. This will reveal considerable insight to you. You will find more money in your campaigns through using this tool.

Now you know how to find the right keywords for your website and your pay per click campaigns. You want specific, highly targeted phrases. You want to avoid the freebie seekers, so you are going to exclude "free" from searches. And you absolutely need a keyword tool. Highly targeted phrases are a gold mine, but they are a gold mine of limited size. To make huge profits, you need a keyword tool. A keyword tool not only shows you how to find the right keywords, but it also will show you which ones make money.

[keyword analysis research] - The Next Generation Keyword Analysis Research Tool

I am going to give you a full review of the next generation keyword analysis research tool by Christine Churchill. She gives you a full review of Keyword Discovery - her next generation keyword analysis research tool.

Here is the full Keyword Discovery review:

"Today: Keyword Discovery, from Trellian. While Keyword Discovery has been available to search marketers for several years, and while I've used it before, recent enhancements warrant taking a second look.

Keyword Discovery has some impressive features. In its most recent version, Trellian has improved existing functions within Keyword Discovery to deliver better, more accurate results, and have added options that allow the user to better manipulate generated keyword lists. Let's look at a few features that make this keyword tool stand out

Multiple databases
For a keyword research tool to be effective, the source of the data it draws upon is very important. Some tools pull data from just one search engine. With the exception of user panels or toolbar information, most sources of data suffer from problems with skewing by automated rank checkers or other bots that artificially increase the search count for certain terms. When skewing isn't taken into account, key terms counts can reflect results that simply aren't accurate.

Another problem is assumptions made by data collectors such as compiling cumulative search counts for plural and singular versions of a word, or treating phrases with different word orders as the same count. These assumptions lead to inaccurate results and, because they aren't always understood by users, they can lead to poor keyword decisions.

Trellian's Keyword Discovery recently took keyword database options to a new level by providing several databases with different sources. Their core is a default global database that collects data from a variety of sources including over 180 search engines worldwide. This includes search statistics from Google, Yahoo, MSN, Teoma and others.

In addition to the original global database, Keyword Discovery now offers a premium database that is derived from user panel information and the toolbars of over 3.5-million users. The biggest advantage of the Premium database is its immunity to skewing problems that plague most other sources of data. Results are more accurate and offering search marketers greater confidence in making keyword decisions.

The limitation of the premium database is that it is new and therefore relatively small. The total volume of search numbers is less than might actually exist. However, it's a good option for checking the order of magnitude between terms. According to Trellian's CEO, David Warmuz, the global database has 580 million unique search terms and the premium database has 196 million unique terms. Ideally you would use both databases when conducting keyword research.
Keyword Discovery also offers several specialty databases that are targeted for specific niches. For example, they now offer databases for eBay, shopping and news, as well as regional databases for the United Kingdom and The Netherlands. According to Warmuz, Keyword Discovery will introduce additional country-specific databases over time.

Historical seasonal data
One of the most useful features of Keyword Discovery is the historical information it holds. In the past when I used this feature, I noticed questionable results that didn't always pass the common-sense test. In comparing historical charts produced by the two primary databases, I noticed that the results for the historical searches were vastly improved when the premium database is used. The earlier unrealistic results made with the global database were the results of abnormalities in the database itself.

For example, I compared the keyword phrase "income tax forms" using the global and premium databases. The chart using the global database showed a large spike in early December not too likely, as tax time in the U.S. is April. When I ran the historical chart using the premium database it produced a chart with heavy demand in the early months of the year tailing off after the middle of April exactly what I would expect. My takeaway lesson: Use the premium database for historical charts for more true-to-life trend lines.

As part of the charting options for historical data, Trellian lets you toggle through a variety of options including historical, monthly, trend, combination and market share. The combination option presents search lines from both the premium and global databases on the same chart. I found this useful in identifying terms that were highly skewed in the global database. Knowing that certain terms were subject to more skewing alerted me to look at global demand numbers with more scrutiny. The market share option showed the distribution of searches across the different engines. This information could be useful input when you are trying to decide how to divide paid advertisement budgets across different engines.

Keyword brainstorming tools
Within Keyword Discovery are several tools that can help you expand your basic keyword list. There are tools to generate common misspellings, fuzzy string searches, related words and popular industry terms.
Another option that can be helpful in expanding your keyword list is the "search and replace" option that can be launched with the binoculars icon on the toolbar. This function allows you to quickly run through a number of synonyms and substitute one word string with another in a list.
The permutation option is another tool within Keyword Discovery that can help with brainstorming. By selecting the permutation database and entering a multiword phrase, Keyword Discovery will generate all the word combinations of the phrase with their search count.

The permutation tool is a real differentiator for Keyword Discovery when compared with other keyword research tools. Frequently, keyword tools aggregate search counts for phrases with different word orders together. In the real world, however, the search popularity between phrases that use the same terms but arrange them in different word orders can be significantly diverse. For example, "horse trail" has a different search count (and an entirely different meaning) from "trail horse."

Other notable features
As you can see, Keyword Discovery isn't just one tool, but rather more of a toolkit. Another tool in the set that deserves mention is the filter option. This handy feature allows you to import keyword lists, including lists from different projects. This option then allows you to perform replacements, changing word strings within your lists. You can add descriptors (think geo-targeted terms or adjectives) to the replacement string and expand the list easily.

This tool also allows you to import meta tag information from any URL you want, a great function for when you want to quickly review competitors' keywords to scan for overlooked terms. The filter feature takes a little experimenting to master, but it's a powerful tool for expanding an initial list of search terms, and can save you a lot of time.

Here's a tip when use the filter option: Save the words as you go or they will be lost. The tool does not automatically save the lists.

Speaking of projects, this feature is one of Keyword Discovery's most valuable. I think of projects as keyword buckets. Assigning keywords to different projects give you the ability to separate huge keyword lists into a series of manageable projects. Keyword Discovery lets you assign certain words to a project and then allows you to manipulate the projects or export them to a third party tool such as Excel.

Keyword Discovery also has a keyword density tool. While I'm not a big fan of keyword density, I do see value in using the tool as a quick check to see where keywords have been used on a page. The X-Ref (cross reference) feature is an additional way to check on URLs to see if sites have been optimized for certain keywords.

Keyword Discovery has a number of tools are easily overlooked. One of the hidden tools is the domain name search function. You access this feature by clicking on the DNS box in the tool list above search results. It's worth taking for a spin. If you're scouting around for a new domain name, this innovative tool allows you to quickly search for domain names containing keywords (although you can't register a domain name through the tool).

Not your father's keyword tool
Overall, Keyword Discovery is a powerful collection of tools. It gets my full recommendation as a keyword research tool. With a price tag of only $49.95 per month, Keyword Discovery offers great value when comparing its accuracy, functionality and usefulness to other keyword tools. There's a free trial version so you can test it and make your own assessment. For me Keyword Discovery has become an indispensable part of my keyword tool arsenal.

Christine Churchill is President of KeyRelevance.com, a full service search engine marketing firm."

Conclusion, if you are looking for a great keyword analysis research tool, I believe that Keyword Discovery is your alternative choice.

[keyword analysis research] You'll find 3 steps for finding profitable keywords in your home based internet marketing business.

Yesterday, I found a basic article about how to find profitable in 3 steps for your home based internet marketing business or home based affiliate business. You'll discover the basic steps you MUST do it by yourself. In my opinion, the basic information is MUST for all beginners. Even you are the experienced internet marketer or affiliate marketer, I am sure that this article is good to know!

Here is how to find profitable keywords in 3 steps for your home based internet marketing business written by Titus Hoskins:

"Each day I go on the hunt for profitable keywords for my sites. I have been doing this daily task for years and have come to enjoy the simple steps I take to find profitable keywords. It has become so enjoyable because I know with each valuable keyword I find I am adding hundreds, sometimes even thousands to my yearly online income.

Keywords power much of the online traffic and commerce on the web. Keywords are the exact word or phrase surfers type into search engines to find what they're looking for on the Internet. They are the essential elements in your website's profitability and in many cases keywords will largely determine how much revenue you earn from the web.

Finding profitable keywords is not a difficult task, anyone can use popular online sites and tools to find valuable and profitable keywords with a few minutes of work. Quick, easy and simple. You just have to know how to find the answers to these three questions:

1. How Many Searches Are Made Each Month For Your Keyword?

A keyword that receives no searches is worthless. A keyword which receives just 10 to 100 searches each month may be very profitable. Your first task is to find out or discover HOW MANY SEARCHES are made each month for your keyword or keyword phrase. You can use sites like Overture (Yahoo Marketing) or WordTracker and they will give you the number of searches made each month and also variations of your keyword phrase. For quick reference I use this site: http://www.pixelfast.com/overture/

Once you know how many searches are made for your keyword you can determine how much traffic you will receive if your site lands on the first page SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages). The closer you are to the number one spot will determine the percentage of these monthly searches you will receive. Most of your traffic will come from Google, even if you get #1 spots in all three major engines, Yahoo and MSN will return less traffic - at least this has been my experience.

Keep in mind, even keywords with low search numbers may still be profitable. For example, 'unique corporate gift ideas' only has around 400 searches but this may be very profitable for companies or websites that cater to corporate gifts. Also remember, some keyword searches are seasonal, i.e. the number of searches made for 'valentine gifts' in July will greatly differ from those made in February.

2. How Much Competition Does Your Keyword Have?

You must know the level of competition for each keyword phrase you target with your online marketing. Extremely competitive keywords are not worth your time because you will not place for these keywords on the SERPs and you will get no traffic. As a general rule, the most popular keywords with 100's of thousands of searches a month will have the stiffest competition.

You can still place for very competitive keywords but it may require months, usually years of content/link building. Unless you use a PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising system such as Google Adwords or Yahoo Marketing; you won't get any traffic from extremely competitive keywords. It's best to target keywords with little or no competition.

One of the best sites to use to find out your keyword's competition is Google. If you type your keyword phrase 'corporate gift ideas' into Google search you will see there are 7,660,000 pages/listings returned. To get the number of pages that have your exact keyword phrase, you need to search your phrase within quotation marks "corporate gift ideas" and you will see it has around 275,000 pages featuring your keyword phrase.

If you check out the sites on the first three pages of listings you can determine the level of your competition. I use the professional keyword research software Keyword Elite to determine my competition. But here's a quick way to check the PR (Page Rank) of the listings for your keyword phrase. Let's run thru an example.

First do a search in Google for 'corporate gift ideas' and then highligh and copy the return url.

Next go to this site http://www.iwebtool.com/visual_pagerank and paste in your Google keyword return url:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=corporate+gift+ideas&btnG=Search

This will give you a quick visual pagerank of all your chosen keyword's Top 10 competitors!

3. How To Know If Your Keyword Is Profitable?

One quick and simple way to tell if your keyword is profitable, i.e. people are making money from promoting and optimizing your chosen keyword phrase.

Take your keyword phrase and type it into Google, Yahoo and MSN. Just count the number of Sponsored Links at the top of the page and at the sides. If your keyword phrase is profitable you will see a lot of sponsored links, which means sites/businesses are advertising. Where there is advertising, there is profit!

You can use Yahoo advertising (Overture) to discover the amount each advertiser is welling to pay for each click or visitor to their keyword phrase - this amount can range from $.10 to $10 to $100 per click!

I use the keyword software mentioned above to monitor the different sites promoting my keywords. If my competitors are buying PPC advertising month after month, you know this keyword phrase is profitable for them and chances are it can be also profitable for you.

Many savvy Internet Marketers instead of targeting extremely popular keywords, find a niche market and target a whole string of related keywords that have little or no competition. This Long Tail marketing method can prove very profitable.

How profitable will largely depend on what you do with your keyword traffic, how well you can convert this traffic into a sale or how well you can monetize it with affiliate programs or Google Adsense?

Just follow these three easy steps for finding profitable keywords and you will have a simple system for adding valuable keywords to your site or online marketing. Take full advantage of these little income magnets which powers so much of the commerce done online and you will succeed. Always remember, these little nuggets of gold are yours for the taking.

The author is a full-time online marketer who has numerous niche websites, including two sites on Internet marketing.

"You might have read about shoemoney’s keyword tool, or some praise about how the outdated WordTracker used to work. But, you might be wondering what to do NOW. This is what I do..

I browse digitialpoint, sitepoint, where ever, and make a list of the people who hand out advice for free. People like, yes, shoemoney. Then, I use this keyword extraction tool by entering their main URL which then, after a few seconds, spits out a list of every single keyword they are currently bidding on. Then, I go to Adwords and bid just lower then them on a few words, and expereince not only a high CTR, but the highest conversaion ratio I can get without spending hours using the YSM keyword tools.

Usually I don't make too much, even with a 1:3 conversion ratio (remember, you're using the same keywords as a professional expert - yes, jackpot city) with the sites they advertise. I'm now using a reverse IP lookup to see what other sites they host on their box (for instance, one digitalpoint member makes 5 figures a month on his example site, and 6 figures on 20 unlisted sites on the same box). Then, I use a reverse ip lookup to see what other sites they host on their servers. When I find the keywords for THOSE sites, I get invited to merchant meetings and get really cool toys from very happy affiliate managers."

Conclusion, it is a good idea to spy keywords on your competitors. This is my highly recommendation keyword analysis research. You should research keywords on your competitors. Also, you have to keep your eye closely on your competitors. You'll surprise that your competitors will do the same!

Many marketers also use the 'Long Tail' - a whole long list of keywords or keywords phrases that relate to their niche. Creating webpages or content for this Long Tail has proven to be more profitable then targeting general popular keywords.

For example, someone searching for the keyword 'vacation' may just be shopping around or dreaming - whereas someone looking for 'honeymoon vacation Jamaica' may have their minds already made up and are ready to buy... finding a whole (Long Tail) list of keyword phrases where the customer is ready to buy will obviously prove more lucrative than a general list of keywords.

Many niche marketers also use this Long Tail keyword list in combination with targeted articles which they submit and syndicate around the web through such sites as Ezinearticles, GoArticles or IdeaMarketers. Thus, creating high search rankings for the profitable keywords in their particular niche.

Many smart marketers also tie in an informative 'How To' 'Further Information' or 'Special Deals' autoresponder series to keep in touch with their visitors. Knowing that many interested parties may not buy on their first visit, it has been shown that it takes around six or seven follow-ups before many consumers will buy.

For those webmasters who are not extensively into web marketing, joining a free affiliate program like the Amazon Associates program and creating an aStore is an effective way of promoting niche products on the topic of your site. Products can be hand-picked to perfectly fit the content of your site or niche.

Niche marketing is not a complicated process. Anyone can take advantage of these small marketing niches and exploit the demand for countless products and services that have no or little competition. There is no reason why you shouldn't turn the information highway into your own private source of income.

5 Simple Steps To Find Your Right Keywords For Your Website

Are you looking the ways to optimize your keywords for your website? If yes, I believe that you MUST read this article written by Adam McFarland who owns iPrioritize - simple to-do lists that can be edited at any time from any place in the world. He also provides SEO consulting for small businesses looking for a cost-effective way to drive more traffic to their site and convert more visitors into customers. As I read his article, I found that he gives you 5 simple steps to find the right keywords for your website. One of my favorite steps is to determine your goals before doing your own keyword research. That's interesting!

Here is 5 simple steps to find your right keywords for your website:

"Whether you're launching a new site or just want to better optimize an existing site, your SEO efforts begin with proper keywords research. If done correctly, keyword research lays the foundation for a site that is fundamentally strong in the search engines. You'll receive more qualified traffic and in turn convert more visitors into sales. Your choice of keywords should be reflected in your title tags, META tags, page headings, page copy, and anchor text for both internal links and external links.

(1) What Are Your Goals?

Before you start your research, you need to define the goals of your site. If you have a video game site, is your goal to sell games? Or is it to sell strategy guides? Or is it to get them to sign up for your forum? Or do you just want them to read your game reviews? It's fine to have more than one goal for your site, but you should have those goals clearly defined before jumping into keyword research because it will effect how you approach your research.

(2) Generate Your Own Keyword List

The next step is to generate a basic keyword list. This will be your starting point for further research. A simple way to do this is to brainstorm key terms for each one of your goals by thinking about what you would search for if you were looking for what you provide. It also helps to check your keywords by Googling them just to make sure you are on the right track.Continuing with our video game example, let's say that I've decided that the goal of my site is to sell sports video games for the four major US sports (baseball, basketball, football, and hockey). Here's the list that I come up with:

sports video game
sports gaming
baseball video game
football video game
basketball video game
hockey video game
madden video game

That's enough to get started. The next step is to use the free tools available to expand the list and determine what terms are searched most frequently.

(3) Use Keyword Tools To Expand Your List

There are several great keyword tools out there, and until recently I used each one individually and pooled the results. But then I found the Keyword Suggestion Tool on SEO Book, which basically integrates all of the best tools out there, relying heavily on the Overture keyword suggestion tool. Unfortunately Google and MSN don't release their search data, so their monthly search volume is estimated proportionately to Yahoo's data.

Using the Keyword Suggestion Tool, you should add any keywords to your list that are applicable to your site that you did not think of. You should also add the monthly search volume for each term to your list.

(4) Select Keywords

Now that you have a substantial list of keywords and their associated search volumes, determining your final list is just a matter of eliminating keywords that don't apply to your site. Below is my final list for the sports video game site and the corresponding estimated monthly search volume:

madden 2007 - 280,879
nba 2k7- 35,032
nba live 2007 - 31,616
madden nfl 2007 - 26,6102007
madden release date - 21,028
ncaa 2007 - 14,763
nhl 2007 - 10,602
mlb 2k6 - 8,864
nhl 2007 ea sports - 5,159
nhl 2k7 - 6,006

As you can see, my final list looks drastically different than my initial list. That's because I discovered that specific game titles are searched much, much more frequently than the type of game or genre. A term like 'football video game' gets searched only 1,873 times, compared to 'madden 2007' which gets searched 280,879 times! Had I not done proper research, I may have optimized my site for the generic categories that are searched far less frequently. Instead, I will optimize the pages of my site for specific game titles.

(5) How To Use Your Keywords On Your Site

Now that you've selected your keywords, you can optimize your site accordingly. In addition to obvious changes to title tags, META tags, and image alt text, you should find a way to naturally use your keywords in page headings, links, and page copy. The key is to use your terms naturally. Search engines consider the surrounding text to make sure that you are using keywords in proper context and that you aren't spamming keywords. So a text that reads "Madden 2007 is the only Xbox NFL video game that is licensed by the NFL and NFLPA" will help you more (and read better) than a text reading "Madden 2007 is for the Xbox and Madden 2007 has NFL Players. Madden 2007 is also on the Playstation 2 and Madden 2007 is officially licensed by the NFL."

Conclusion, I agreed that you MUST identify your own goals before researching & expanding your keywords. However, I highly recommend you to consider WebCEO keyword internet marketing tool if you are truly serious about how to find your right keywords for your website. You'll discover & generate a TON of target relevancy keywords for your website. Also, you'll discover hot niche keywords for your website. [Keyword Research Review] 4 Things You MUST Know About Keyword Research For Your Hot Niche Markets

I always say that keyword is one of the key factor for finding hot niche markets. To being highly successful internet marketer or affiliate marketer, the keyword research plays a major role!

Here is the 4 things you MUST know about keyword research in order to find hot niche markets:

"Whether you are an affiliate marketer, a website designer or you make your living creating and marketing infoproducts such as ebooks, discovering profitable niche markets to exploit is probably at the top of your "to-do" list. The following is a four-step system you can apply anytime you need to find a new niche audience to target and profit from.

1. Initial Brainstorming
This first step is best approached with a very open mind and a notebook and pen handy. The idea is to seek topics that are outside your current realm of knowledge. One of the best ways to do this is by reading blogs.

Bloggers come from every walk of life, and you will find blogs with information on almost any niche topic imaginable. Best of all, bloggers provide fresh, timely information.

Start spending some time reading some random blogs. A good starting place would be at blog directories such as Blogdex - http://www.blogdex.net . As you are reading, you'll discover many different topics being discussed. Many of these you may have never heard of before. Start writing these down.

Example: You found yourself reading a blog post that described the blogger's recent experience at a demolition derby. Maybe you don't know much yourself about this niche, so you add "demolition derby" to your list.

2. Keyword Research
Once you have a list of several possible niches, the next step is to find out what keywords and keyword phrases people are using to search for this and related information via the major search engines. Good Keywords -http://www.goodkeywords.com for example, is a free Windows software you can download that will help you do just this. With this program, you can type-in a topic from your list and the software will begin to uncover many related keyword phrases being actively searched for.

It takes time to get the hang of this software, but once you master it you will be able to generate large and valuable keyword lists. After you uncover at least a few dozen related keyword phrases, save your list and move onto the next step. If you are not able to uncover many related keyword phrases, chances are there is not much potential here and you should start over with another topic from step one.

Example: Using Good Keywords or a similar tool, you enter the term "demolition derby". You soon have a large list of related keyword phrases people have been using to search for information on this topic, such as "demolition derby video" and "demolition derby car for sale".

3. Secondary Idea Creation
Read through the keyword list you generated. Some of your keyword phrases are going to give you ideas for other target audiences you may want to explore in the future. Take some time now to write these new ideas down while they are still fresh in your mind. Save this information for later reference. You can never have enough fresh ideas to explore when trying to uncover under-exploited niche markets.

Example: One of the keyword phrases in your "demolition derby" list was "demolition derby game online" - you note that later you should explore what other types of online games people are searching for.

4. Niche Potential Analysis
If you used Good Keywords to mine for keyword phrases, you will have also been provided with an approximate number of times each of these terms was searched for during the past month. The next thing you need to do is compare this number, representing potential search engine traffic, with the number of websites already catering directly to these searches.

To do this, start by taking your keyword phrases and do an exact phrases search on each of them at Google, making certain to surround your keyword phrase in quotes. Write down the number of results google brings back for your search. Next, compare the number of monthly searches for each phrase to the number of Google results.

If you are lucky, you will discover that some of your keyword phrases with good monthly traffic don't have many results in the search engines yet. If you find that you have uncovered a niche that has several keyword phrases with a high number of monthly searches and at least a few of them have a low number of results in Google, chances are you have found a very good niche to exploit with your next online project. If not, go back to the list you created in step one and repeat the process.

Example: You discover that the phrase "demolition derby car for sale" is searched for around 700 times monthly, but brings back only 486 results in Google and the term "demoliton derby pic" receives several hundred searches a month but only returns 258 results in Google. You are very happy to have discovered a potentially hot niche with good under-exploited keyword phrases to target.

Although there are several costly and difficult to master programs available that can help you discover unique target markets, the system above has proven to be an effective free method for uncovering niches to profit from. Apply it today and be on your way to niche marketing success.

Keyword Research Review - Top 3 Elements For Your Keyword Research

Recently, I just got emails and private messages from my friends. They asked me what the top 3 elements for keyword research are. They would like to know that which elements of keyword research are the best for the right keyword phrases.

Here is the top 3 elements for your keyword research to pick up the right keyword phrases:

"Keyword popularity refers to the sheer number of people searching for a particular keyword phrase. This is often the concept that most people have no trouble understanding – if your website is optimized well for a keyword phrase that a lot of people are searching for, this will bring you more traffic. After all, what good is it to be ranked #1 in Google for a keyword phrase that nobody searches for?

Keyword competition is an area that some newcomers to SEO fail to examine. When a particular keyword phrase is popular, this usually means that there are many other websites out there competing for top rankings of that phrase in the search engines. The number of competing websites is the number of results a search engine returns for a specific query. Optimizing for a competitive keyword phrase can make it much more difficult for you to achieve successful search engine rankings for these phrases.

So now you may be asking yourself, "Ok, great! Now how do I find popular keywords that aren't very competitive?". Many keyword research services, such as WordTracker, include an index that measures exactly this. The Keyword Effectiveness Index (KEI) is a qualitative measure of how easily it is to optimize for a particular keyword phrase. KEI is essentially a matter of 'supply and demand'. Ideally, we want to select keywords that are extremely popular but aren't very competitive. This would result in a very high KEI and take very little effort to achieve successful rankings.

But we can't forget one other very important element when choosing the right keywords…relevance.

Keyword Relevance has to do with how much a keyword phrase relates to your products or services. If you rank well for a popular search phrase and receive a lot of traffic from it, this still doesn't help you if the traffic doesn’t translate to sales or leads. For instance, let's say you've found a good niche phrase that is fairly popular and has a high KEI index - "free keyword ranking report". So you optimize for this keyword phrase, rank well, and receive more traffic. However, if your website doesn't offer a free keyword ranking report or have any information on how to receive a free keyword ranking report, these extra visitors will not actually convert to customers. It is important to remember not to get too caught up in the popularity and KEI of a keyword phrase. You must also think about keyword relevance when conducting your keyword research."

Conclusion, the most important elements for your keyword research are: Keyword Popularity, Keyword Competition and Keyword Relevancy. However, there are a lot of keyword internet marketing business tools to give you these information. Those keyword research tools always help you to find more & expand your keywords rapidly. Also, they save a TON of your time. I would love to recommend you to consider Keyword Elite and WordTracker keyword internet marketing business tool to help your keyword research job.

Keyword Research - 3 Simple Steps To Find The Perfect Keywords For Your Website

Yesterday, I found a short article about how to find the perfect keywords for your website. I've already walk through that article. And I found that it is really simple and significant for you to apply to your keyword research for your website. That article is written by Gabriel J. Adams entitled "Keyword Research: Finding the Perfect Keywords For Your Site".

Here is how to find your perfect keywords for your website by Garbriel J. Adams:
"If you are marketing your site on the search engines, the keywords you choose for your site are crucial. Choosing the right keywords for your site should be the first step in search engine marketing.

The key to choosing the best keywords is to choose keywords that are properly targeted, high volume, and low competition.

Targeting
When choosing your keywords, choose keywords that will give you prospects that are likely to buy your product. For example, if you are selling Oriental Rugs, the keyword "rugs" would be an okay keyword. The keyword "oriental rugs" would be better, and the keyword "buy oriental rugs" would be ideal.

Search volume
When choosing a keyword, you'll want to know how many people are searching for that particular keyword. The easiest way to do this is to use the Yahoo Search Marketing keyword suggestion tool. This tool will tell you how many people on the Yahoo network searched for that keyword last month.

Another good tool is the Digital Point keyword suggestion tool, which will give you data from the Yahoo network and from Wordtracker.

Competition Level
The competition level for a particular keyword can be a little tougher to determine. For PPC marketing, the Yahoo View Bids Tool is very helpful. This tool will show you what advertisers are bidding per click for a keyword. This tool is also helpful for SEO, but there are other ways to determine the SEO competitiveness of a keyword.

Using Google, you can get quite a bit of data that can help you determine how many websites have been optimized for keyword, and how well they have been optimized. Use Google to check on:
  • How many sites are returned for "keyword"
  • How many sites are returned for "allintitle: keyword"

Then, use Yahoo or MSN, to see how many backlinks the top ranked sites for the keyword have."

Conclusion, the above information is easy to read, understand and follow to. However, I highly recommend you to choose your own keyword internet marketing tool to help you to save a TON of your time. I personally believe that the paid keyword internet marketing tool is the best choice for you. Also, if you are looking for keyword internet marketing tool to find your niche keywords for your website, I highly recommend WebCEO keyword research tool. Additionally, WordTracker keyword internet marketing tool is a great alternative for finding hot niche keywords for your web site as well.

[keyword analysis research] - The Power Of Keyword Research

"Keyword Research" is the major factor for being highly successful internet marketer. Yesterday, I found a great article written by Rami Doleh. The title of article is "Keywords: The Essense Of Online Business". He addresses an interesting information about doing keyword research.

Here is the power of keyword research in internet marketing:

"Before the rise of the internet as a marketing tool and it was only a marketing tool before it became a market place that has its own set of rules, the traditional marketing tools were never able to use the power of keywords.

If we look at the traditional advertising mediums we would understand how difficult it is till this day to give the power to the customer to search or to choose the ads that he/she wants to see.

Yet there was only one medium which got close to the keyword concept which is the hard copy directories. In such directories we would find in the table of contents a certain categorization that would use keywords such as type of product, industry, etc. Still even with this medium, it was the producer of the directory that decides which keywords you can search for.

Today the internet not only created the power of keywords but it also handed this power totally to the customer. It is the customer who decides which keywords he/she wants to choose, and the advertiser would need to do huge efforts to appear and show his/her business according to the customer's search terms.

The power of keywords is used in most of the internet marketing tools, such as:
1- Search Engine Optimization
2- Link Directory submission
3- Article writing
4- Pay Per Click
5- AdSense
6- Link exchange
7- Even Posting in Forums.

The huge power of keywords has the final say in the success or failure of your online business. You could have the best product and a great sales process from beginning to end, but if your keywords selection is not well studied that could mean the end of your online business.

If you have the financial resources you can hire experts to do this task for you, but if you are starting an online business with a limited budget then not only you will not be able to afford the services of such experts, but also you will not have all the time in the world for trial and error.

You will need a tool that has two main features; first it should be inexpensive and second it should give you immediate feedback.

In this article I would give you a list of suggested steps that you can follow which will give you the following benefits:
1- To be able to start your business as fast as possible.
2- To accommodate for your limited budget.
3- Get quick feedback.

The suggested steps are as follows:

1- Keyword research: There are various tools that you can use to research keywords that could be the most suitable for your business. Of course the ideal goal is to find a list of keywords that have minimum competition with high search volumes. Since this is not an ideal world then you should come up with keywords that can be as close as possible to this ideal goal.

2- Check your competition: You can take a look at your competition and see what keywords they have constructed they websites around. Depending on your general strategy and the type of competition, you can choose either to along with the same keywords as your competition, or decide to go as far as possible from them and target a different niche.

3- Construct your website around the keywords you have finally decided on.

4- Concentrate all your marketing activity around these keywords

5- Put aside a portion of your marketing budget for Pay Per Click

6- Use Adwords as the amount of traffic there will be able to give you immediate feedback.

7- Learn the ins and outs of adwords before stepping into it. Again, do not get into adwords before teaching yourself all there is to be learned. I would advise you to get Perry Marshall's e-book on this topic.

8- Test the keywords that you have selected.

a. If the outcome is satisfactory then you do not need to change any of the previous work you have done on your website and other marketing activities.

b. If the outcome is not satisfactory then you need to continue your keyword research and adwords trials until you find the list of keywords that would bring you the traffic and sales that you require. When you do find these keywords, go back to all your previous marketing activity starting at your website content moving down to all your other marketing activities to accommodate for the new keywords.

c. Now that you have found the list of keywords that can bring you the quality of traffic that you desire, you can expand in different ways:

i. Target other niches within your industry.
ii. Build other online businesses.

The Power of Keywords cannot be explained in one article, but I hope I was able to give you a good flavor and an understanding of the importance of positioning your online business through the selection of keywords."

Personally, I highly recommend you to choose your own keyword internet marketing tools to help you to do your keyword research. Those keyword internet marketing tools will save you a TON of time!

Additionally, I highly recommend you to consider Keyword Elite keyword internet marketing tool. Alternatively, I would recommend WordTracker keyword internet marketing tool, which is the fastest growing & leading keyword research tool in the industry.

The Truth About Keyword Research With Keyword Internet Marketing Tool

A few days ago, I found a great article written by Sarah Manners. The article addresses the science of keyword research with a few keyword internet marketing tool. I strongly believe that this article is a great information for you who are looking for how to do your own keyword research with keyword internet marketing tool.

Here is Sarah Manners' article entitled "The Science of Art", which addresses the truth about keyword research with a few keyword internet marketing tool:

"Selection of the appropriate keywords and phrases is essential for the promotion of any site. Though there are an abundance of keyword research tools out there, the ultimate selection of the keywords is more of an art than an exact science. The tools discussed in this article will enable you to get the science of keyword research down pat but ultimately the selection will be up to you.

When promoting a site knowing the industry in which it operates is essential. The Search Engine Marketing tools are undeniably important but common sense and the level of knowledge you have concerning the industry will help you format a keyword strategy that will elevate both your rankings as well as your end user’s experience.

Wordtracker
With its statistics coming from meta-search engines only, Wordtracker compiles a massive database of keywords and phrases which online users search for. This program shows how often specific keywords/phrases are searched for as well as the number of sites for which these keywords and phrases compete. A useful addition to Wordtracker’s suite of offerings is the related keyword facility. Often as search engine marketers we are not familiar with every industry we work with and facilities like this help us uncover many related keywords and phrases that we may never even have considered to be valuable. There will of course be many suggestions that are inapplicable, but it is an extremely useful and enlightening addition.

Wordtracker details, in an extremely user-friendly format, the number of searchers conducted per keyword per day, the keywords which compete with it and the KEI (keyword effectivity index).

One of Wordtracker' s greatest features is its ability to differentiate between search terms that include capitalization, word ordering and plurality. As search engines do deliver results based on these factors it is easier to get unique as well as accurate data from Wordtracker as multiple search phrases are not combined.

Although Wordtracker results are underreported it is still amongst the most often used tools for keyword selection. SEO’s usually consider the figures as guidelines rather than absolutes when selecting keywords.

Overture
Overture or Yahoo! Search Marketing as it being referred to of late offers a database which has been collected from the keyword/phrase searches performed on Yahoo! AltaVista, Yahoo, MSN Search and HotBot.

Overture has a greater database of search terms than Wordtracker but the results are often over inflated because unlike Wordtracker, there is no distinction between singular and plural terms, upper and lower case or between human queries and automated queries.

Queries from bid optimizers, position and ranking monitors and link popularity analyzers are registered as hits. These factors all influence the over-inflated results produced by Overture. Another of Overtures downfalls is that it registers a user conducting a single search on two of its influencing engines (Yahoo! and MSN for example) as two hits. While excellent at generating hundreds of keywords and illustrating their popularity on the web it is easier to achieve visible results with Wordtracker as the data is based on lower figures.

Digital Point' s Keyword Suggestion Tool
This free keyword suggestion tool displays results from both Wordtracker and Overture to help you determine which keywords and phrases are searched for most often.

The tool allows you to enter a keyword/phrase as well as the market you wish to search that term in (i.e. USA/Japan), but the market-related search data is only relevant for Overtures results. Digital Point also offers a free keyword positioning tracking tool to monitor your placement progress once you have decided upon the keywords/phrases you wish to use in your copy.

Web CEO
Web CEO's powerful suite of software is fast becoming one of the most popular keyword research tools online. Web CEO is a suite of SEM software which combines a host of tools to take you from start to finish of the SEO processes.

The 10 different tools in the Web CEO suite will help you promote your site amongst the search engines, analyze your visitors as well as maintain your website. The 10 tools are: Keyword Popularity Research, Live Traffic Analysis, SEO, Search Engine Submission, Website Ranking Checker, Link Popularity Analyzer, Project Auditor, Web Page Editor, FTP Upload Manager and Website Monitoring.

It is easy to see why Web CEO is fast becoming one of the most preferred tools in the industry.

Hitwise Keyword Intelligence
Hitwise has begun using its web visitor data in its keyword search data making for more comprehensive and targeted results. Keyword Intelligence provides country-specific results which is extremely useful when it comes to promoting sites which are aimed at web users in a specific country.

Hitwise results show keywords that resulted in web users actually visiting a website rather than just viewing the websites listing on their search engine of choice. Though is quite costly to purchase, because Keyword Intelligence offers country-specific data it could be one of the most essential SEO tools for site promotion.

Trellion's Keyword Discovery Tool
This is a great tool which captures data from an impressive 170 international search engines. Compared to Wordtracker, which uses meta-search engines, Trellion’s data is far more comprehensive. With the standard edition up to 1000 results are returned and up to 10 000 results with the enterprise edition. The two main advantages of using Trellion’s Keyword Discovery tool are that suggestions for misspelled words/terms related to your search are returned and that it offers 12 months of data which allows you to track seasonal trends.

The only disadvantage is that because of the high number of search engines that data is captured from you are unable to establish which sites have been sampled in the results.

SEO Chat's Keyword Suggestions for Google
This free Keyword Suggestion tool for Google aids you in choosing relevant and popular terms that are related to the keyword/phrase that you enter. Like most keyword suggestion tools all you need to do is enter a keyword or phrase and this tool will return results from several Google searches, which it will use to determine popular and re-occurring terms used by websites in the same industry.

The keyword/phrase's relevancy is determined by the number of times a given term occurs in the displayed results. You will notice that sometimes related keywords/phrases return higher results, this is because they are searched for in Google more often that the keyword/phrase you entered.

Tools and Trends
When it comes to the science of keyword research, the tools out there are invaluable. Wordtracker and Overture are undoubtedly the market leaders but the emergence of several other keyword research competitors has positively affected the SEM industry. Not only do SEO’s now have access to a wider range of tools at their disposal, the industry leaders are having to up their game to remain in the lead."

Conclusion, as my investigation and experiences with several keyword internet marketing tool, I believe that WordTracker (with full version) keyword tool is one of the best keyword internet marketing tool in the industry. You can sign up here & get FREE WordTracker tutorial. Additionally, Web CEO keyword software is my favorite keyword internet marketing tool for search engine optimization.

[keyword analysis research] - How To Find & Dominate Your Niches Through Your Keyword Research

How can keyword research help you to find & dominate niches? You will find the answer in the article written by Carole Nickerson I found recently. The interesting issue in the article is that it claims that WordTracker is the best for doing keyword research. Thus, I would like to share you about the idea how keyword research can help you to find & dominate niches with Wordtracker keyword internet marketing tool.

Here is how keyword research can help you:

"eBooks, articles and infoproducts are some of the hottest selling and most requested products online. eBooks are one of the easiest things to sell because they require no shipping & can be accessed within minutes of placing an order. When the ebook boom hit it's peak, they started popping up everywhere and now that marketers have perfected their selling & design tactics, there's no stopping them.

But just as the dust began to settle on the ebook bonanza and pay-per-click search engines bubbled to the surface with keyword data, the word "niche" started infiltrating the internet marketing collective. As more tools became available for researching the search patterns and requests of web surfers, marketers took notice and saw one golden opportunity after another. We now know exactly what people want, and how many people want it.

With laser precision, we can now easily dominate some of the most profitable yet overlooked markets on the web - and there are thousands if not millions. This insight has fueled all kinds of infoproducts and the rush is on to get those ebooks and articles published before someone else steals your thunder!

But if you're still not sure what to write about or haven't been able to figure out the whole niche writing concept yet, then you don't need to look any further than keywords.

Step 1 - Keyword Research
The best tool for this is Wordtracker. I've yet to find another tool which offers such excellent search data. This service will let you see exactly what people are searching for, as well as helping you determine how much competition you might have for a product in the search engines. You can start with an existing topic, or you can go fishing! Since I like to write about all kinds of topics, I enjoy the challenge of locating niches with no competition and then dominating those searches. But how do you "fish" for low-competing keywords?

You have to think in terms of the types of searches performed for information. Here is a list of a few keyword combinations which work well:

- How To
- Learn How
- Learn About
- Information on
- Find info on
- Find info about

These are basic terms you would enter into Wordtracker's "Comprehensive" Search feature which is located in "Keyword Universe". You will end up with numerous results displaying things like "how to make a cool xanga", "how to tie a tie", "how to make paper snowflakes", etc. What is happening is that Wordtracker is using your base keyphrase and filling in the results.
To take this one step further, you can use wildcards to get more unique results, such as:

- How To * New
- Learn * Online
- Info * Dogs

Wordtracker will fill in the * with any number of keyword strings that people are searching for, such as "How to Write a Newspaper Column" and "Info on northern inuit dogs".

Don't assume the results are no good just because the keyword or phrase shows a low count for how many searches are performed. The Wordtracker database uses information from search engines which get peanut traffic compared to Google or MSN. You might be surprised when you take the keyphrase, plug it into Overture and see that while Wordtracker displays only 10 searches within a 120-day period, Overture reports 300 searches every month. It's about percentages and this is probably what a lot of people overlook.

Here's another way of looking at it:

If search engine A gets 2% of all internet traffic, and a keyword in it's database reports 10 requests in a month, but search engine B gets 50% of all internet traffic, then you can assume that the same keyword is actually getting more requests than just 10 searches per month. So with that said, it's important to put keyword reports into perspective by looking at the numbers behind the numbers.

Step 2 - Competition Research
Wordtracker has a great feature which allows you to see which keywords have high and low competition in the search engines. Obviously, you want the low competing phrases for faster, more tangible visibility. It is important to learn how to use this research so that you can use it effectively. Wordtracker offers great tutorials you'll be able to digest in just minutes.

For example, the keyphrase "headache remedy news and information" has only 38 sites competing in Google's index. I would see this as an excellent target because it has many requests and would be easy to dominate. Immediately I see potential for products such as:
- An ebook about headache remedies
- An article about headache remedies (Easy Adsense Revenue)
- A forum, newsletter subscription (Easy Adsense Revenue)
- An intro page to an affiliate program
- All of the above!

Step 3 - Get Busy!
Now that you know how to use basic keyword research to locate niche ideas and dominate search engine results, you gotta get busy and start writing those ebooks and articles. You can choose to do one or both, offer ebooks for free or for sale. It really all depends on the topic you are focusing on. The obvious way to know which format is best is to look at how much content can be realistically written on a topic.

One interesting strategy to consider is writing an ebook or group of articles where your keyphrase and keyword research determines most of the categories. For example, let's say you find 10 great low-competing keyphrases like:

- "How to teach my hamster to fetch"
- "How to get my hamster potty-trained"
- "How to train my hamster to speak Spanish"
- "How to train my hamster to do my taxes"
- etc.

You get the point, right? You're basically just creating categories based on what people want. This way you're reaching a larger audience and getting even more search engine exposure."

Personally, I would love to say that Wordtracker keyword internet marketing tool with a full version, not trial version, is a great keyword interent marketing tool for your keyword research in order to find & dominate your niches.

That's all for how keyword research can help you to find & dominate niches through Wordtracker keyword internet marketing tool.

[keyword analysis research] - 10 Easy Tips How To Choose Your Keywords To Drive High Volumes Of Targeted Traffics To Your Web Site

Today, I am going to give you 10 easy tips how to choose your keywords to drive high volumes of targeted traffics to your web site. The keyword research is the major key of how to drive high volumes of traffics to your web site.
Here is the 10 easy tips:
  1. Sit down with a pen and paper… and brainstorm your focus keywords! I know this might not seem like a very high tech idea, but you know your business best! Imagine your perfect client and what keywords they might type into the search engines.
  2. Find more focus keywords by asking your family, your friends, and your associates what terms they would use to search for your product type.
  3. Be specific and general. For example, if you were selling web hosting, you might use the following keywords: web hosting, multiple domain hosting, hosting package, virtual private server, cpanel hosting, etc….
  4. Include misspelled keywords! This is a trick that many site owners neglect -- and that's too bad! Using misspelled keywords is an excellent idea to target traffics that you - and your competitors. Research common misspellings of your top focus keywords and include them in your keywords list.
  5. Include your region & nation if applicable. For example, if you are selling car in New York in US, you would include “New York” and "US" in your list of keywords.
  6. Include the long and short form of your focus keywords. Using the virtual private server example, you would include “vps” and “vpss” along with “virtual private servers”.
  7. Use as many variations of your keywords as you can think of. For example, the keyword "web hosting" could be "web hosts", "web host", "hosting web"…
  8. Remember that some search engines are case sensitive when it comes to keywords and phrases, so “Host” and “host” would be considered two separate keywords.
  9. Be sure to include your company name… but do NOT use trademark names other than your own! If you get caught using trademark names like Wal-Mart, Yahoo!, Amazon, etc… to draw traffic to your site, you could not only find yourself banned from the search engines, you could also find yourself slapped with a lawsuit!
  10. Check what keywords your competitors have featured on their web sites, in their titles, and in their META tags. You can easily do this by going to your competitor's web site, clicking on the “View” menu of your browser, and choosing “Source.”

However, as my extensively experiences with Internet marketing, I firmly recommend you to find your own keyword internet marketing tool or keyword research expert to help you to find more & expand your keywords list. The keyword internet marketing tool can save you a TON of your time! Additionally, as you can see in my website, I recommend: (1) Keyword Elite (2) Keywords Analyzer and (3) Keyword Discovery

Nevertheless, the fastest growing & leading keyword internet marketing tool in the industry is "WordTracker" (full version). You can find exactly keyword phrases people use for their search!

[keyword analysis research] - WordTracker Keyword Internet Marketing Tool Reviewed By Derek Gehl - Part II

Alright, I am going to share you more strategic keyword internet marketing tool with WordTracker by Derek Gehl. He addressed the interesting information about the powerful of WordTracker keyword internet marketing tool.
Here is his article:

"The fact is, I just can't believe how few people are taking advantage of the INCREDIBLE information that Wordtracker can offer any business, online or off.

To show you what I mean, here's a quick tutorial to show you how this awesome strategic Internet marketing tool works...

Let's say you sell hand-knit dog sweaters (my Golden Retriever, Cyber, just came in from the rain and is SOAKED, which gave me the idea).

You're looking for ways to multiply your income by adding new products to your site.
Wordtracker to the rescue!

If you pay $7.96 for a day pass, you get full access to Wordtracker's entire database -- including 330 MILLION search terms that have been plugged into the 'Net's top search engines in the past 90 days!

Once you've got your account set up, simply follow these steps:
  1. Go to Wordtracker's "keyword universe" and plug in a word or phrase that describes your business -- e.g., "dog sweaters."
  2. A list of keywords will appear -- e.g., "dog clothes," "dog accessories," and "small dog apparel." Click on all the keywords that might appeal to your customers, and add them to your "keyword basket."
  3. Add a wide range of keywords to your keyword basket -- at this stage of the game, it's good to be inclusive. In this case, I'd include keywords like, "dog carriers," "designer dog collars," "dog jewelry," -- even "life jackets for dogs"!
  4. Once you have an extensive list of keywords in your basket, run a "competition search" on them. This shows you how many times those keywords have been plugged into the search engines over the past 90 days -- AND how many sites feature these keywords on their pages.
  5. When you get your results, look for keywords that have a LOT of people searching for them, but AREN'T featured in a lot of competing web sites. THEY'RE the killer keywords that will propel your business to new levels of success!

For example, when I did a search on "dog sweaters," I discovered that the following keywords are REALLY hot right now:

  • pet accessories for motorcycles
  • tinkerbell dog accessories
  • pet crate accessories
  • dog bathing accessories
  • sling dog carriers

All of these could be GREAT products to add your business! You're already targeting people who like buying clothes for their dogs -- so chances are good they might be interested in buying some of these other items, too. (More research is needed to confirm this, of course, but these are definitely hot trails that deserve further exploration!) "

Conclusion, it is a good idea for you to try WordTracker keyword internet marketing tool today with my FREE WordTracker tutorial. You will receive it as soon as you sign up here!

[keyword analysis research] - WordTracker Keyword Internet Marketing Tool Reviewed By Derek Gehl - Part I

Currently, WordTracker keyword internet marketing tool is the fastest growing in the market. Previously, I have already shared you with some reviews on WordTracker keyword internet marketing tool. However, recently I just found an article written by Derek Gehl who is CEO of Internet Marketing Center and make sales over $54,000,000 per year online. The article gave me about his favorite strategic keyword internet marketing tool with WordTracker. Thus, I strongly believe that it is very helpful for you who are looking for a keyword internet marketing tool and looking for finding your niche keywords.

Here is the article about WordTracker keyword internet marketing tool by Derek Gehl:

"You know, I can't BELIEVE how many online businesspeople aren't familiar with Wordtracker, my favorite strategic Internet marketing tool.

(FYI: Wordtracker is an awesome keyword research tool that helps you discover what people are searching for online by showing you the EXACT words and phrases they're typing into the search engines when looking for information.)

I was just doing some keyword research with Wordtracker myself, and for a kick I did a search on "Wordtracker," to see how many people a day are looking for information about this truly indispensable Internet marketing tool.

The answer? 40!!!

In comparison, 137,289 people are searching for information about Paris Hilton every day!

Now, I know that most people interested in Paris Hilton probably don't care anything about strategic Internet marketing, but still.

Out of all the people in the world, only 40 people a day are searching for info on a tool that you can use to a) find a niche market, b) come up with a product to sell to that niche market, c) create winning salescopy to promote that product on a web site, d) optimize that site for the search engines and finally, e) come up with NEW ideas for products that you can sell as back-end items to your customers!

In my opinion, that's just CRAZY.

If you've never taken Wordtracker for a test-drive, I suggest you don't delay. You can try out the free version (which -- to be honest -- gives you only bare-bones information and isn't very useful) or you can shell out $8 to try out the full service for a day.

I promise you, you'll be blown away by the all the incredible information you'll receive! Without a doubt, Wordtracker is the most important weapon in my strategic Internet marketing arsenal. And to show you what I mean, in tomorrow's post I'll give you a quick tutorial on exactly how you can use it to find NEW products to sell on your site!"

Personally, WordTracker is an extremely powerful keyword internet marketing tool now and it is growing rapidly every day. It allows you to find exactly keyword phrase people use for their search. That's the strongest point of WordTracker in my opinion.

[keyword analysis research] - 2 Steps To Do Your Keyword Research By Rosalind Gardner

Today I am going to give you how Rosalind Gardner, who made $436,797 in one year selling other people stuff online, does her keyword research. I found this article from her web site entitled "Market and Keyword Research".

Here is her article:

"Extensive keyword research is critical to determin profitable markets and creating web pages that get found by the search engines.

There are two steps in the keyword and keyword phrase research process:

  1. Do basic keyword research to determine if there IS a market. My 'ball-park' figure for a good market is around 50,000 searches per month.
  2. Build a HUGE list of keywords that are RELEVANT to your site. The more keywords you find in your research, the more visitors you will attract to your site.

The keyword list you build can be used to attract traffic to niche-specific pages for keywords that show high demand and low competition.

A large keyword list is especially useful to attract traffic to your sites via pay per click search engines like Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture), Googe Adwords and other PPC advertising venues.

For example, back in 1998 I plugged a keyword phrase into an Overture advertising campaign for my Sage-Hearts.com site. To this day, that phrase has no competitors.

Zip, zero, zilch... nada.

That little phrase drives at least 1,000 visitors to my site each and every month, and the phrase STILL costs me only a nickel a click as it was grandfathered by Overture.

With an conversion rate of 2%, I generate approximately 20 sales.

The average commission earned per sale on that particular program is $25.00.

Gross earnings are $500.00, minus the $50.00 I spent on advertising, which leaves me with $450.00 to spend on new shoes.

Spend a buck, make TEN! Woohoo!

I can't promise that you will find a 'magic keyword' like the one I talked about above, but it certainly doesn't hurt to try!"

Additionally, as my investigation, I found that Rosalind Gardner suggests affiliate marketer to use the combination of the following keyword research tools: WordTracker, Keywords Analyzer, Ad word Analyzer, Niche Finder, Overture Suggestion Tool and Google Keyword Tool.

Personally, as my extensively experiences on keyword research tool reviews, I found that the combination of Keywords Analyzer, Keyword Discovery and WordTracker is really great for you to find more and expand your keywords list.

[keyword analysis research] - How To Do Your Keyword Research To Make More Money!

Today, I would like to give you an interesting article written by Wade M. Thomas. He addressed how keyword research can target niche marketers better and make you more money. I have already read his article and I found that it will be useful for you who are doing your own keyword research. I strongly believe that this is an interesting ideas for making money through your keyword research.

Here is how to do you keyword research to make more money:

"Using keyword research can expand the reach and visibility of any business trying to do business on the internet. It is also one of the most under used techniques of driving internet traffic. Keyword research is also a necessity for search engine optimization and pay-per-click campaigns.

Keyword research doesn't only help with search engine visibility, but it also can open your eyes, as an entrepreneur, of complimentary markets, products or services that you should be addressing. I've been able to find additional markets to promote as a compliment to my existing business. This allows me to make more money from each lead that I drive to my website.

There are basically 2 types of keyword research software: keyword suggestion tools and keyword analytical tools.

1. Keyword Suggestion Tools
ResultsGenerator.com is one of the best keyword research tools available on the internet. It combines the Yahoo / Overture Keyword Research Search Tool with the Keyword Bidding Tool on One Screen. It tells you how much it would cost to be number one in the Overture Pay Per Click Search Sites in the left hand screen, and in the right hand screen tells you how many times the keyword was searched for and the various other keywords that were searched containing that word.

The reason that I like and use ResultsGenerator.com so much, is because it's FREE to use AND I can view 2 key ingredients to find and target niche markets better. If I see that a keyword is searched for a lot, then I will play with various versions of it to find those keywords that allow me to get the best number of clicks for the cheapest amount of money. Thus driving traffic to test sites in order to find out what my metrics are for my Google Adwords or Yahoo Overture Campaigns.

One of the best places to perform keyword research are the search engines themselves. I like using both Google.com and Yahoo.com I find that since Google cleans their search engine and takes longer to index websites, when I am dealing with instantly changing markets and information, I will rely on using Yahoo.com, MSN.com and Blogger.com.

2. Keyword Analytical Tools
There are also some Paid Keyword Research Tools that I use on a regular, almost daily basis. The most popular paid keyword research tool among search engine marketers is software called WordTracker. Wordtracker's Keyword Research Guide is a useful collection of tips and techniques from some of the most respected search marketing practitioners working today. At first, I wasn't sure whether paying the money that I paid was worth it or not. So I started with a One Day Trial. That turned into years of membership now for me. I would not want to do business on the internet without WordTracker.

You need third-party keyword research tools and resources to build and expand keyword lists for search engine marketing (SEM). Some SEM and search engine optimization (SEO) agencies have keyword research tools available only to their clients. Extensive keyword research seeks to harmonize your keyword choices with the search terms most used by your targeted visitors.
What about SEO ( Search Engine Optimization ) ?
For best results, keyword research and analysis should be undertaken in consultation with an experienced search engine professional (SEP). They will help you to further use these tools to the deepest level possible in order to maximize your return on investment in pay per click advertising!! There are many things in life that you don't try to do yourself, like being your own doctor when you are sick or being your own attorney when you are in trouble. SEO should be handled by the professionals.

Remember: Keyword research is an integral and extremely important part of your overall search engine optimization process.

Maximizing the use of keyword research and related tools will help you to:
  • expand your visibility and revenue
  • find you new and complimentary markets
  • lower your keyword pay per click cost
  • increase your bottom line profits per campaign

Conclusion, to be highly successful in Internet Marketing, the keyword research is one of the most important thing you have to concern. I strongly believe that keyword research can lead you to target niche markets and make you more money. Also, the keyword research tool can absolutely help you to save a TON of your time.

[keyword analysis research] - 3 Rules Of Thumb For Killer Keyword Marketing Research

Today, I am going to share one of my favorite article about "3 Rules Of Thumb For Killer Keyword Marketing Research" written by John Gergye.

Here is the article about "3 Rules of Thumb For Killer Marketing Research":

"Everyone wants more traffic. But most do not know how to excel at the one thing that will insure their site is jammed with traffic like a Los Angeles freeway at rush hour. That is, they fail to do anywhere near enough keyword marketing research.

Granted reading one article will not you an expert make. But I can at least begin to bring you up to speed when it comes to finding visitor laden top search terms. To do so I will reveal four of my sacred keyword research rules of thumb.

My first rule of thumb is simple. Do not settle for the obvious keyword phrases. I know. Sounds obvious. But apparently isn't.

For example the term "easter baskets" gets 120 searches/day. While going up against 420,00 other pages.

Not insurmountable. But I like less of a challenge. Especially when "personalized easter baskets" gets 109 searches/day and only has 615 competitors.

See the difference one word makes? Similar to the difference between lightning and a lightning bug, no? Since you get nearly the same number of searches with no where near the same number of competing pages.

The next secret rule of thumb is to compare the plural verses singular forms to see which is better. Since when it comes to this most webmasters tend to pile onto the wrong choice.

Take the term "gold earrings" It gets 168 daily searches in all engines, and has 1,540,000 competing pages in Google. While "gold earring" gets 84 daily searches and faces 440,000 competitors. In other words it has less than a third of the competition for half the searches. So we're on the right track. Best of all "italian gold earrings" is used by 52 searchers daily. And only has to fend off 514 pesky competitors. Or what you might call a slam dunk.

Your third keyword research tactic involves grabbing the low hanging fruit. Or what I call "orphan keywords".

Ideally you're looking search terms with less than 1000 competing pages in Google when searching for the EXACT phrase. 500 or less is better still.

Of course the closer to 10 competing pages you get for a search term, the more likely it is your page will be to stumble into the top 10. These are true "orphan keywords". So named due to neglect by your competitors.

Then don't forget to think outside the box. Just like your potential customers do.

Say you had a law practice in California. One term you might consider is "criminal defense attorney". That gets 131 searches but faces 1,450,000 competing pages. I'm not wild about those odds. Plus the term really isn't very targeted.

Digging deeper I found that "criminal defense attorney LA" gets 85 daily searches. And only has 11,1100 pages to beat out. Not bad.
Digging deeper still "criminal defense attorney la county" gets 84 daily searches. But only has 575 competing pages. Paydirt!

Once again I turned up a search term with total searches at least in the same ball park as the generic term I started with. Yet with just a handful of competing pages to deal with. Rarely do I fail to do this. In fact you'll discover dozens of such gems by thoroughly researching your keyword universe.

Never forget that keyword marketing research is THE factor that determines the success or failure of your niche site. Applying rules of thumb like these can help you do smarter optimised keyword marketing. Which in turn will help you attract more traffic from search engines more easily. And traffic is something we could all use more of, right?"

Conclusion, I personally suggest you to consider more plural and singular keyword phrase. Most of affiliate Internet marketers forget it! However, if you use keyword research tool with Overture database, there are NO any differences between plural and singular keyword phrase - a search volume is the same. Meanwhile, if you are using keyword research tool with WordTracker and Google Sandbox, you will see the difference between plural and singular keyword phrase. For alphabet sensitive, singular & plural keyword phrase, I highly recommend you to consider WordTracker as your keyword research tool.

[keyword analysis research] - How To Find The Perfect Keywords For Your Site

Yesterday, I found a fantastic article written by Gabriel J. Adams. The title is "Keyword Research: Finding the Perfect Keywords for Your Site". I believe that this article will help you to find the perfect keywords for your site.

Here is the article:

"If you are marketing your site on the search engines, the keywords you choose for your site are crucial. Choosing the right keywords for your site should be the first step in search engine marketing.

The key to choosing the best keywords is to choose keywords that are properly targeted, high volume, and low competition.

(1) Targeting
When choosing your keywords, choose keywords that will give you prospects that are likely to buy your product. For example, if you are selling Oriental Rugs, the keyword “rugs” would be an okay keyword. The keyword “oriental rugs” would be better, and the keyword “buy oriental rugs” would be ideal.

(2) Search volume
When choosing a keyword, you'll want to know how many people are searching for that particular keyword. The easiest way to do this is to use the Yahoo Search Marketing keyword suggestion tool. This tool will tell you how many people on the Yahoo network searched for that keyword last month.
Another good tool is the Digital Point keyword suggestion tool, which will give you data from the Yahoo network and from Wordtracker.
(3) Competition Level
The competition level for a particular keyword can be a little tougher to determine. For PPC marketing, the Yahoo View Bids Tool is very helpful. This tool will show you what advertisers are bidding per click for a keyword. This tool is also helpful for SEO, but there are other ways to determine the SEO competitiveness of a keyword.

Using Google, you can get quite a bit of data that can help you determine how many websites have been optimized for keyword, and how well they have been optimized. Use Google to check on:

How many sites are returned for “keyword”
How many sites are returned for “allintitle: keyword”

Then, use Yahoo or MSN, to see how many backlinks the top ranked sites for the keyword have."

[keyword analysis research] - Learn More How To Find Niche Keywords. You'll Find The Powerful Keyword Analysis Research Here!

Frequently, I got email messages ask about how to find niche keywords. Actually, I have already gathered all techniques I used in the past into my ebook named "The-Ultimate-Guide-For-Finding-Relevancy-Keywords.pdf". However, I found an interesting article written by Dirk Wagner named "Finding Your Niche in Keyword Research".
Here is his article:
"To start with, what are keywords exactly? And why on earth is keyword research so damn important?

Here’s a short backgrounder for you, my slightly confused and misinformed friend: whenever you log on the internet, whether it be for something really important (i.e homework research) or something bordering on the ordinary (i.e you’re just “surfing the net” ‘coz you’re having one of those boring gaps in your life once again), more or less, you’ve probably have typed something in the search engine box just to help make your “research” be simpler, easier (since you don’t have to memorize all of those long website addresses) with just a few taps on your keyboard. What you’ve actually typed there is what is commonly known as a keyword/phrase that helps aid you with your search. Through good keyword research, you’ll be surely able to find the website containing the correct data that you need/want.

It is extremely important for those who want to create (and eventually launch) a website to have good keyword research. For internet users to be able to reach your website, you should use proper keywords and phrases so that it’ll be a lot easier for internet surfers to stumble upon your website while using the search engine on the internet. Your website should be brimming with appropriate keywords and phrases, to help promote its content. There really is so much you can do on the internet, you can sell stuff to other people from all over the globe, you can express and share your thoughts to blogging, you can advertise your business, the possibilities are actually endless. This is why a lot of people are trying to make the most out of this incredible opportunity by setting up websites with big hopes that random strangers will actually find them.
If only things were that easy, unfortunately though, even with this high-tech world of ours, good old fashion hard work and patience is what still helps rake in the big bucks. Simply put, you need to still invest on your website in order for it to serve its purpose, it order for it to actually take flight, you have to learn a thing or two about keyword research.

Keywords and phrases don’t just come in a handy for niche websites, on-line advertisements and what-have-yous, they’re actually a significant part to its success. Keyword research will actually help your website stand out and get noticed more by internet users, since it’ll avoid the usual spamming and link farms and link exchanges that internet users usually hate. It’ll actually help you figure out what your potential visitors want by the keywords that they type, thus, helping you improve on your keyword research.

Also, keyword research will help you keep afloat from your competitors, because through it, you’ll know what the public wants, what people are actually looking for, thus giving you ample time to come up with services and goods that these people want (i.e. potential customers). May it be websites focusing on the people’s major concerns, such as health, current events, etc.
If you want to try out those stay at home businesses, you can actually use keyword research to your advantage since, it’ll prove to be highly useful with those pay-per-click services since it’ll certainly bring in the traffic your ads/ websites.

Keyword research truly is a remarkable thing to arm yourself with in these tech-savvy times, you may opt to buy the available software and help educate yourself further on with this unique method or if you’re too lazy or just not the “technical” type of person, you can leave your keyword research to an expert, who’ll happily do the nitty-gritty for you, but for a price of course.

Surely, you won’t lose anything by simply trying out keyword research, there are no doubtful schemes, just a practical and cost-efficient way of improving your on-line business.

Dirk Wagner is the CEO of http://www.internetmarketingoasis.com a powerful resource for needed marketing tools and creator of the #1 IMO Marketing Toolbar. He also is the publisher of a free home business online course at http://www.team4success.biz."
Conclusion, I highly recommend you who are looking for effective ways to find your niche keywords to walk through my ebook named "The-Ultimate-Guide-For-Finding-Relevancy-Keywords.pdf". You will discover a lot of techniques, which help you to find more and expand your keyword list. Let's check out here.

Keyword Internet Marketing Tool - How To Choose Your Keyword Internet Marketing Tool?

How to choose your keyword internet marketing tool is the most popular question I got recently. Thus, I would like to give you the idea how to choose your keyword internet marketing tool.

There are two steps to choose your own keyword internet marketing tool. Here is my keyword internet marketing tool review:

First of all, you have to clarify yourself that what the purpose of keyword internet marketing tool you are going to use is. As I told you previously, there are four groups who are looking for keyword internet marketing tool:

(1) Niche Miner Group - People use their keyword internet marketing tool for finding hot niche keywords.
(2) Search Engine Optimizer Group - People use their keyword internet marketing tool for increasing their website ranking.
(3) Pay Per Click Advertiser Group - People use their keyword internet marketing tool for their PPC advertising.
(4) AdSense Publisher Group - People use their keyword internet marketing tool to find top paying adsense keyword.

Second, the following is my highest recommendation in order to help you to choose your own keyword internet marketing tool once you have already clarified yourself.

(1) Niche Miner Group - I highly suggest you to consider "Keyword Discovery" and "WordTracker" for your own keyword internet marketing tool.
(2) Search Engine Optimizer Group - Personally, I highly recommend you to have "Web CEO" as your own keyword internet marketing tool.
(3) Pay Per Click Advertiser Group - Honestly, I love "Keyword Elite" and "Keywords Analyzer". I would like to recommend you to consider both keyword research tool. Alternatively, "Keyword Domination" is another my recommendation for PPC advertising.
(4) AdSense Publisher Group - Truely, "Keyword Country" is the best keyword internet marketing tool for all adsense publishers. And, "TopPayingKeywords" is a good alternative keyword tool as well.

However, my top highest recommendation for finding more HOT NICHE keywords is this keyword community. Also, this community is an interesting alternative for finding top paying adsense keywords.
