Keyword Tool Selector

By Gary Sargeant

Do you know that your entire internet marketing business revolves around your successful use of keywords? And to find the correct keywords you will need a professional quality tool selector. You would be amazed to find out how many people are advertising their product or service online and yet don't know the importance of marketing. Believe me, keywords are one of the most essential aspects of your website, even more so than your content. Every online business needs a tool selector.

When someone comes to me complaining about their lack of traffic or buying customers to their website, every single time the very first place I will check on is their keywords located just after the tag in their home page source HTML. I always find the same thing. They have the name of their website, the name of their product or products, and a few, very general keywords such as "golf" or "pets." I can tell they never utilized the services of a tool selector.

What's so important about a tool selector?

Let me explain a bit. Prospective clients or customers that visit your website mostly are going to find your site by going to a search engine such as Google or MSN search and typing in a or phrase. These keywords phrases are trying to point out the solutions they're looking for, for a certain problem they have encountered. If you tell the search engines that your site is known for "niche widget solution", or using other keywords phrases such as your name, your business name, that is not under most cases going to be the solution your prospects are out there searching for. What you need are targeted keywords to bring you the hot prospects. And to find out what keywords your market is looking for as a solution for a problem, what you have to do you is research, and for that you will need a tool selector.

What exactly does a good tool selector do?

A quality tool selector will take a or phrase that you type into it and search out several different databases of commonly searched on keywords. It will tell you exactly what keywords your prospects are typing into the search engines that relate to your business, product, or service. Using a good quality, professional tool selector will tell you "exactly" the solutions your prospective customers are seeking! And that

to you as a business owner is your gold mine. Those are the exact keywords or phrases you in turn then need to optimize your home page and website for. This is just a start but a very good one, and the first place you need to work on when your traffic does not quite shape up to your expectations.

So to wrap this up, search engines look for what you tell them that your page is about in the title and meta tags, and then they look through your text to see that in actual fact your page is about what you say it is. They take note, and the next time someone does a search for your keywords, your site makes it into the list of webpages that are served up to them because you have used a good tool selector to locate those exact keywords most people are searching on to find your website.
